Damn, this game keeps crashing to desktop. No error message, no fuss. One second I'm playing the game, the next second I'm staring at my desktop. I'll wait till they iron out the kinks.

First serious bug/fluke :

When under free will mode the sim has an X where it says "grab a plate" It can't be cancelled and the sim freezes. The only way to cancel the action is to get the sim to attend a class therefore it gets overridden and the sim can move again. Rolling Eyes

Edit : It took me a while to figure that out.. my sim nearly died Very Happy

EA are giving away a whole new town (for free) upon the games official launch I just read (sorry if this has already been reported). Hopes that some kind souls will upload this somewhere when it arrives. Smile

They're not giving shit away. It was most likely IN the original game to begin with until some hot shit marketer said - "Hey lets rip it out and offer it for download on launch as "free" content and shine our image up a bit.

Sounds more like screwing with pirates cause in the past sims titles you needed to own a legit cdkey to obtain any dlc

well thats not exactly new now is it... same was done with many a DLC on console titles released recently.. point is they are not charging for it, so I couldn't care less if it was 'On the disc already'.. freebie is a freebie

So I went to the girls house, lay in a bed, and calling this girl for sexy time. After spending ages at the meal she finally got up, walked into another bad, layed down, suddenly appeared next to me and then some weird bitch threw me out because it was too late. While I was leaving the girl in the bed flew around in the house, but she was still in the sleeping animation Laughing

Yeah my guy got stuck in a bed position forever and I had to start from an old save. I even tried selling the bed and shit.

Is there any way to make your sims not age legit? In the sims 2 there was a option to buy a drink with aspiration points that would reverse aging. I simply cannot find anything like that in this game. Also the livespan of the seems is just crazy my sim based off of me lived for 74 days and died of natrual causes my wife however has lived for 134 days now. My son whom was raised since toddler is about to become elderly.

Also is there any way to come back to life?

In the options menu there should be an option where it says Sims Lifespan you can choose up to 960 days max so check it out.

So I've been told this leaked version is not really final, lacking a town and buggy.

Although the news about the "free downloadable town" (which is most likely nothing more than unlocking it from the on-disk content) does not help that statement...

Nonetheless, if true then on June 2 we should get the real thing Razz

It's just bullshit from the non-pirate people. As stated earlier in the thread, this is a digital distribution version of the game.

I cannot get myself to play this without cheats. At first I tried, but it was too slow. I only got 2-3 hours of free time between work and sleep, and in that time I also had to eat, shower and pee.

There will probably be a day-1 update though to fix some of the various remaining issues, perhaps even some of the issues that's been reveleaed due to this leak. Very Happy

EDIT: If the DD version has SecuROM activation and the retail one only uses a disc check or serial check (Both?) would that perhaps make it possible to use a mini-image and a patch for the retail edition to get rid of the online activation component.
(Unless a crack is needed due to the serial system, though I guess that's mainly for the "SimStore" item additions.)

Speaking of those additions I wonder how they're handled, might perhaps be possible to rip them?
(Someone would have to buy them first of course but who knows.)

Fuck... well at least I see I am not alone in the bugginess.. too bad I didnt find out about it before wasting 3 hrs of playing the game, getting into all the new features after having not played for literally yrs.. only to discover that yeah, it crashes. And no auto-saves either. Wtf...do the devs not realize that they created an addicting game that you dont freaking think about saving every 5 mins? Anyways pretty bum-fucking first experience because of that..

Too bad too, since the game seems to add alot to the already great formula..
