That key contains no files.

Make sure your folders are lower-case.

Well it should explain again ...

I liked how when stuck in Chronicles of Riddick it told you how to proceed ahead.

Good GOD this .hdr extraction is tedious Sad

=Edit=

So DTE didn't work for me at all, I didn't even get the DTE dialogue box - it was just "Windows working cursor" then nothing. YASU, on the other hand, worked fine.

So far the game looks pretty fun, graphics are great and the only ones that say otherwise are Crytek-loving pixel-fuckers - and my recommendation is to sod off back to Crysis Rolling Eyes Gameplay is just a bit too Wanted-meets-GeOW for my taste, but I'll stick at it for a while and see how it goes.

Ok, wtf? I get an error msg with some wacked error code and a "description" saying that either another setup is running or close all programs, if problem continues contact the vendor.

WTF?!

I'm mounting of latest DTLite, Ive tried cloaking the fuckin drive just to install, rebooted numerous times, checked to see if anything is hanging in the background, turned off anti-virus shit etc
The release is fine. Not a corrupt release.

So anyone, have any idea's wtf is going on?

So in conclusion, it doesn't support AA (forced or otherwise) right? What graphic options does this game have?

Running Setup.exe?

Sorry but the disc is a bit "incomplete" as Data1.cab and Data2.hdr are missing so unpacking the files manually is the only possible solution at the moment, takes a bit of time unfortunately as the utility we've been using only extracts one file at a time, fortunately there's not that many files for this game but perhaps it would be a good idea to wait until the discs have been replaced and a proper release is out, might even get cracked then instead of a clone release.
(I've had no problems with the extraction method but it's a bit of a cumbersome workaround though it does work.)

yeah, running the setup.exe. So I have to literally unpack the fuckin thing manually?
And fuck, that tool that....damn, can't remember who posted, the links don't work for download.

FUCK! Wanted to play this a) before I see this tomorrow nite b) if I liked it, I was gunna buy it

EDIT

Got that unpacker...gunna try the fucking thing. So annoying when shit like this happens dude. Like fuck, why release something if you have to go through so much fuckin trouble. Send it to a crack group and get them to give you a nod in nfo or something....fuck....

EDIT

Fuckin blow me....not you but that goddamn chinese/asian/whatever file....its missing some kinda fuckin file and wont run....gunna start banging my head off the keyboard soon...

Perhaps it'll be better to wait for a proper release, it's not the groups fault this time as the actual discs were damaged and are in the process of being replaced but in a few days we should see a proper from either the same group or some other one based on these fixed discs and perhaps it'll even be cracked then. Smile

And yeah the utility is a bit cumbersome (There's a tutorial a bit back however.), based on the Install Shield SDK and ripped from there with all files required intact, however some other requirements might be needed by it.

If you post the file it complains about I'll upload it. Smile

EDIT: Might also be that someone has made a so called "homemade" release and just rared everything up and re-released it as a rip but I don't know if it's available on sources like Newsgroups and FTP instead of just P2P sources.
(Haven't checked if such a release exists but P2P is the most likely candidate for such stuff.)

EDIT: There is such a release on a certain torrent site, got the mini-image from there and it's just extract and play for those who uses P2P to download.

http://rapidshare.com/files/192567524/InstallShield_Cabinet_File_Viewer.7z

English Version Smile

If it bitches about the ocx's not being available.

Download (Save Link As) MSCOMCTL.OCX To your Windows/System32 folder (If using Vista/Windows 7 x64 then copy it to your Windows\SysWOW64 folder and then run the following

regsvr32 \windows\system32\MSCOMCTL.OCX <- x86 XP/Vista/Windows7
regsvr32 \windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX <- x64 Vista/Windows7

Repeat this proces for comdlg32.ocx, you will find this file already in the InstallShield_Cabinet_File_Viewer.7z, just copy it over, and then run the same command changing the ocx file

regsvr32 \windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx <- x86 XP/Vista/Windows7
regsvr32 \windows\SysWOW64\comdlg32.ocx <- x64 Vista/Windows7

Seems like a lot of work, but takes literally 2mins max. Then 15mins to get it all extracted and play Smile

And yep i had the same DTE will not work on Windows7 x64, unsure about x86, but probably the same but Yasu_1.6_9040_Public.zip Worked Fine

It will be alot easier if someone just upload the whole extracted content on WBB or something, and we just download and install.

Actually such a archive already exists, from what I've seen it's up on a few of the larger public torrent trackers so the download speed is probably rather random and unfortunately it will probably degrade once more people start downloading it, haven't checked Newsgroup sites and similar but I don't think it's available there.
(It's not a scene release after all or such, just someone who uploaded a torrent with all of the game files already unpacked.)

Unsure about WBB as I rarely check that site but perhaps it's been posted there as well.

Once again though for a real proper it's probably best to wait until the fixed retail discs are available.
