Just came home from this H.R.Giger Exhibition at the Film Museum in Frankfurt. Just thought I should share some of the pics. They are all original models/costumes used on the set of Alien. There is also a sculpture and a really cool chair made by Giger. Of course there where a lot of art work and stuff, but for some reason most of them are out of focus (used my mobile phone Smile )

fucking awesome mate Smile very jealous.. did you buy any gifts? You know, Giger himself has an ebay account and sells his pieces online quite often. One of his Alien facehugger models sold for $45,000 last summer

Damn, that chair is awesome. Although I gotta admit I wouldn't wanna sit in it, kinda too creepy for that I guess Very Happy
Do you know how long they're gonna have that exhibition? Maybe if I find some time I'll get myself a rental car and might go there.
Or is it something like a permanent exhibition?

26th of July? Might really get myself a car put my girlfriend, my brother and a friend in there and drive there.
I mean, it's only about 200km so it's not that big a deal.

naw man Smile Now, if I were on shrooms, I'd put the chair in the closet or something. For sure wouldn't sit in it, but as long as I'm not trippin, I'd be fine with it Smile

It'd be like my evil alien gaming chair Smile

EDIT

Throw some Dead Space on using that chair, so hype Smile

no one knows, but you can always check the official page:
http://www.hrgigermuseum.com/index2.php?option=exhibit

i'm tired of waiting for the old fuck to come back to vienna, think i'm gonna bite the bullet and drive to gruyères this summer - the museum and bar (which is btw full of these chairs) should be well worth it.

maybe i'll even have enough cash by then to expand my collection (which only consists of a giger skateboard Laughing and some books and posters atm)
