Not only do I have -4 stats all the time but now when I try to sell captured ships the most I get out of them is 1000 or 2000 gold. At first I would get huge amounts like 30000 for a decent ship. Any reason why the price would go down?

The ship you sail is too big for your navigation skill.

I have to agree with them to some degree, but they did so much that if modders get to work on it, it will be the ultimate pirate game ever.

Clearly you havent felt what iss the playlogic community.
Not odd since there is none.
Oh how I still remember having to rewrite the manual for people on their forums because its content didnt actually reflect the gamecontent.

I was trying to imply that playlogic is crap.
They make buggy and very often incomplete games
community wise people have often tried to mod their pirate games but usually the games themselves are so buggy and patches so far between that its hard. They arent very accomodative about mods for their games either.

- on stats is due to low skill navigation , x class ship need x class navigation , nothing about the protection, just be careful with moody crew as it seems huge bug there after you crush the guys trying to get rid of you as a captain, cant exit after putting down the mutiny , so keep well supplied with rum and medicine the crew will stay happy
Oh and yeah doing the peter blood line you will get a kickass ship in the quest line
Still not gotten around to test the 2 other classes

Seems the game is easily moddable by altering various files, taken from another site and shortened a bit but works for money and stats.
In the "\AoP2\Program\characters" folder there's a file called RPGUtilite.c open it with notepad and search for "pchar.money" to alter the starting money for that specific class, also add that paremeter if it's not there for the class you want to play as, also you can search for the value "SetSpecial" and adjust your stats for the class you're playing as (From 0 to 10 I believe)

The playlogic games actually have alot of potential. And i usually enjoy their games. The problem usually is that they have a tendancy to produce games that are buggy as shit. Its like they skip anything recembalin ga beta stage.
Their forumla is usually soemthing like = Great concept + great gameplay + shit load of bugs = medicore result.
