					| Damnation

  	  | Code: | | Damnation will feature large, open environments, a variety of acrobatics and Hollywood-action stunts. Damnation features verticality which differetiates it from other games in the genre. It features many Steampunk elements such as steam power replacing electricity. The game will feature an option to turn the gore on and off. Damnation has steam-powered vehicles which also have many acrobatic abilities, such as climbing up walls.
Set in the early part of the twentieth century after the American Civil War has spanned over several decades, where steam replaces electricity. The game sees the protagonists fighting off a rich industrialist who wants to do away with both the Union and Confederate armies in one swift movement

					| I actually really liked DarkWatch. It was cheese by today's standards, well even then it was kinda cheese. However, it was a really fun shooter!

Rockstar are releasing a sequel to Red Dead Revolver, called Red Dead Redemption, later this year. Info in the spoiler tag to avoid too much off topicing.

  	  | Spoiler: | |    	  | Quote: | | Utilizing Rockstar's proprietary Rockstar Advanced Game
Engine (RAGE), Red Dead Redemption features an open-world environment for players to explore, including frontier towns,
rolling prairies teaming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes -
each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions. Along the
way, players will experience the heat of gunfights and battles,
meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the harshness of
one of the world’s last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately
pick their own precarious path through an epic story about the
death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it.

Yeah definitely not the best sneak peek I've seen, but the theme is appealing enough to at least give it a try.

Anyone know if the levels are the standard linear type, or is the 'open ended, large game world' more than advertising hype?

					| I really try to like this game,but...
Needs proper cover system, instead of you running next to a wall and crouching. AI buddies keep "dying"(a state where they just keep crouching and complaining) and you gotta run around the battlefield saving them, but luckily later in game you get a method for healing them from a far.
Animations are a bit stiff and the gameplay feels kinda clunky to me,but still not a game destroyer.
Oh and the AI is dumb imo. There was an enemy inside a house,I ran past him and he shot me,but didn't kill me. So I expected my AI buddy to go kill him since she was right there next to me. But she didn't move a muscle and neither did the enemy. Both of em were standing on the other sides of the wall doing nothing. You can't command your buddies afaik, they just run around shooting enemies they SEE and follow you once you get past a certain point.

Premise is cool though, always loved steampunk. And it's not all bad,it can be fun at times, escecially later in the game. I think when the reviews come out, this will maybe get a 5 or 6/10.

					| That video is 5 months old... I hope there will be some more info soon, this could be good.
But the fact alone that there is no demo, no recent gameplay video, no recent screenshots, just nothing lets me think that this isn't very polished... :/
