Are fucking obnoxious. I joined a group on steam probably ages ago, I can't remember when, so one of the members notices and starts a chat...

Long story short, many Americans are great. This guy is a fucking idiot. Sheesh, who opens with that shit. His SteamID page says he's from america btw. I didn't want to point out to him that if he had friends he wouldnt have to spamvertise, but i realized he would keep talking.

Only thing is that teh US is the western country with the highest population. as such they will have more douchebags numbers wise but not necessarily % wise.

umm, technically he was only elected once, everyone knows that. well actually not at all but let's not nitpick.

but because we americans are indeed lazy, fat, stupid, and too busy with our ipods, cell phones and high definition reality tv we never say shit or stand up for what we believe or should i say the beliefs our country was founded on.

oh yea those same ipod, cell phone, high definition reality tv watching douchebags are also terrible parents which is how their kids manage to get on xbox live and other online avenues and ruin it for others. just think - they're gonna grow up and be the next wave of americans. great thought isn't it?

don't worry though not all of us are idiots. if you meet me online you'll have a great time playing and my kids will never terrorize you online because i dont have the heart to try and raise a child in this mess we call a world nowadays.

its difficult not to stereo type when most of the time you see what you see....

when i play with my US buddies on US servers for example COD4, the chat goes like this

HE CHEATS!!!
KICK THAT NIGGER
LOL L2P NUBCAKE

european servers in general are alot more quiet, people say hello and bye etc... some directions for teamplay and thats about it.

Im a compulsive gamer. I meet assholes on a regular basis. In all types of games.
I can honestly say I have seen no dominence of one nationality among douchebags.

Also keep in mind that alot of douchebags thanks to western cultural imperialism speak english with an american accent. Myself included. And Ive never been to the bloody country.

i'm not one of them, but what stefan says is true. when left 4 dead dropped i played it for the 1st week and it was great. good teamwork and communication with level headed people. i hadn't had that much fun with multiplayer in any game for years.

after the first week when word of mouth had gotten around and all the kids had got their paychecks from burger king or had gotten the money from mom and dad it was straight downhill from there. all sorts of random vote kicking, rampant use of the N word and i dont just mean noob. once those first few exploits leaked it was absolutely unplayable and i haven't played it since as a matter of fact. most games i play on live i leave my headset unplugged for that very reason.

right now go to quakelive and get into any populated game that is an american server. it'll be no longer than 15 mins before some kid joins and starts typing racist trash and cheater this aimbot that etc etc. i'm american and i don't do it myself but there's no denying that it is something that is just out of hand over here.

Played games with many americans and they are cool

Like someone else said, its a) kids/immature teens who don't get laid that act stupid b) immature/dumb adults

I used to play AA hardcore when it came out and I was in a clan or whatever the fuck its called (cant remember the name) and I was the only Canadian. The everyone else was American and there were a couple of Active US Military guys in the group too. Great guys, mature, respectful, very competitive etc

Comes down to maturity and age to some degree.
