					| raimi only directed 2 good movies, ed2 and army of darkness. as a writer he has a few more (man with the screaming brain, for example).
this one might be good, though, here's a review

					| just an update ; its got a 15 rating in the UK which is pretty significant compared to the originally thought 12A/PG13 rating. Apparently it is actually quite scary in places.

some quotes from the reviews

  	  | Quote: | | There's goo, gore and guffaws galore in this outrageous celebration of everything you used to love about both Sam Raimi and the horror genre itself.
A slickly made, engaging horror film that evokes the spirit of much of the director’s early work.

 make-you-vomit sight gags

Revealing Raimi in top form as a maestro of the genre that launched his career

"Drag Me to Hell" is the most fun I've had at the movies in years. It's destined to be a cult classic for all eternity.

It's a visceral assault on the senses and will have you gasping for breath as the laughs and scares mount.

In modern horror there's always a line they can't cross. Drag Me To Hell stabs it, sacrifices it, buries it in the back yard, and then gets away with it by giving the audience a wink and a nod.
 |

 holy mother of fuck.
and to think that i've tried to keep my expectations as low as humanly possible, keeping in mind that it's been a long time since raimi made a movie that i considered worth watching. ahaha.

fuck yeah, i hope this has enough of a success to show others where the real deal is. maybe it might even, gasp, help usher out the era of the asian-horror scary-girl ghost-shit-fests.

woooo, raimi! definitely hitting the cinema for this. and i just got the perfect weed for it, trippy and long lasting enough to make this more awesome than awesome.
