Something just doesn't sit right with this release. Granted it looks legit and installs fine. But for some odd reason I can't build on a lot with no house already on it. Which any other sim game would allow you to do right from the get go. This could very well be a beta or demo. Also the hair options for a male seem to be rather slim if you ask me. Also there seem to be options just missing that are greyed out. Sims 2 allowed you to create your own town this one doesn't which is also another feature they said would be in it.

still this game is crap,
simple things take to much time, like walking 1 meter takes 1 min LULZ, pissing 15 min
yeah you get all this custom things in the sim editor BUT STILL NO BREASTS for the female gender WTF ?!
Ai is crap, made a sim started a cooking career... so was making this house and every time HE ALLWAYS BURN DOWN THE HOUSE by making dinner TO MAKE MONEY O.o My sim makes insurance frauds every time i leave him alone... burns down the house +900$$, floods it 3000$$, wakes up at night opens the door and lets robbers in that sake his hand and take his TV +4000$$ , then he was abducted by aliens, came back pregnant, born a alien baby that ATE MY SIM, then this alien baby called his Ufo ship buddies, burned down the house, took the paper boy with them and fly off in the space ship...... I MEAN WTF O.o thats the MOST FUCKING TRIPPING GAME
after 3h of this nonsense deleted this crap and get back to my Sim's 2 that takes 27gigs on my hdd... it way better then this shitty part 3

Yeah there are loads of things missing with this for some reason unless EA are going to milk it fully, hardly any good things to buy, I cant move from my place to a new location when it said I could after having a baby, nothing exciting in the town to buy as in items, like I said tho EA are going to milk it and thats maybe why there is jack shit of items to buy.

For anyone who's interested, I put a policy in on my hardware firewall to block all traffic and I enabled logging on it before starting Sims 3. It appears to connect to just one address:
159.153.106.28 on port 80 - this IP resolves to launcher.thesims3.com
I just blocked that, job done.

Spiderman my wife plays the Sims franchise all the time. She would sit up hours on end just to have her sim abducted by an alien and have what you have happen to you. That is a very rare occurrence and as for everything else that happened you probably didn't something to help fix that. You obviously played the second one so you know you need an alarm system and so on.
I really think from what I heard that this games does blow the other one away. I am still out on it as I still find it odd a lot of things are missing in this game and if this is what you pay for in the stores then damn they are really setting us up to buy more or in our case download more expansions. Which is ridiculous that's EA for you though!!

I don't think everyone is getting it. My laptop doesn't have the panning problem (7900 GO), but my Desktop (8800GT) does. The framerate is great on both, panning is just a butt with my 8800GT.

I've never seen a machine yet, laptop or desktop, that runs a Sims game and doesn't have panning issues. Not once.

well in the old sims when your sim goes outside to use his telescope , alien will abduct him
in this new sim when your outside they abduct you, well i was in my home sleeping, building a house... well didn't any add a roof, you know my sim was allwasy bitching about DARKNESS and he was like scared about it so i said *Nigga i have like 20$ i got no money for daaammmn lights, your GOD will take way the roof m'kay so piss off*... so yeah he lives with no roof don't know why you need it tan't ain't no shitty rain in this game... so yeah was doing my thing by my thing he get to know this one chick in the museum and they hook up doing they thing... ain't seeing nothing here bro  those pixel are so big hate the censure system in this ass game... so yeah they where doing they thing and suddenly a bright light came, took them then after 2 days my Mr big nigga came pregnant... i was like WTF it was watching Junior with no arnie all over again, the next 3 days he was doing nothing all those days he was laying in bed... and then suddenly all was black and a green baby came , you know that little crib option yeah he was in there, my sim Mr Big Nigga  was scared shittless of that crib every time he go near it he pissed him self and 2 days later after the crib aperied baby got out ate my nigga scared, the paper boy, then captured him, burned down the house with some ufo laser and they flew off
ahaha ok i when stone and kind a bit wasted you know after 8 bears my engliah gasmar is kinda not redable

Perhaps its similar to my prob (just my pc turn out in creation), updating all drivers didnt work and starting under windows 7 also didnt fix it :/
Well tink ill play a bit more with the one sim i created... |
I dunno but turning off the AA seemed to work for me.

Yeah sure, it's like with the flight simultor x.
Theoretically you can play it with a 386... but in real life even a quad quare gets fucked by this game
