Lucky punch Laughing Mirko would kick his ass in the Pride ring he's to old to fight in some triangle now. Can't even count how many former ufc champs he beat in pride, like that tall American dude three time he kicked his ass back in the day. Oh yeah Josh Barnett is the suckers name.

Some nice punches here

Lucky my ass. he was beating the shit out of him in every other way. Then Randy Couture destroyed Gonzaga. I think Randy is a LITTLE older than Cro Cop. . . The only pride fighters that have done well in UFC are Anderson Silva and Quinton Jackson.
Josh was champ how long ago...? The game has changed some since then. Hell Cro Cop couldn't even beat Kongo in a stand up fight. No doubt, he has lost something. he isn't old. But most pride fighters seem to have lost something when they come over to UFC while others seem to rise above what they were in Pride (like Quinton).
Maybe it's because they can't juice up in the UFC.

Interesting because most ufc fighters can't do shit in other organizations like Pride, maybe because they can't juice up Laughing or you can't teach old dogs new tricks or some other reason.

Randy is the only one of his kind and a poor example, not many can piss straight at that age let alone fight in a ring but he was never the best that title goes to Feder, he definitely didn't need some loses like that last one to a fucking wrestler/actor. I remeber an interview after the fight Randy said quote "Fedor would tear Brock up at this point".

Yes! The goddamn constant saving is fucking annoying - and it wouldnt have to be, they just implemented it so badly!

Checking storage - Saving game data - Saved game data! - Checking storage - Saving fighter - Fighter saved!

That could all be done in the background or something.. argh.

The game it self is very addictive, but when you are on a loosing spree and you have to deal with the loading time and the saving time it makes you want to smash the controller. and btw I play the game from HD and it does absolutely minimum effect. Mad another frustrating thing is I punch my opponents face left and right I kick him in the had while receiving minimum damage and I cant knock him out, but for him it takes few punches to knock me out Mad doesn't matter if its a sub guy or a striker.

Well you saw it on Tim Sylvia, if you mean some ucf opponents, went down under a minute. Then he took down Arlovski with one punch which is rare even for Fedor he usually wins by submissions.

Are you seriously going to sit there and say it didn't look like he was? I am a Fedor fan. I got Fedor all over my facebook and myspace pages. I got "Fedor: Best MMA fighter Ever" as one of my joined groups. It looked to me that he was having a hard time up until he landed that punch. Course, he could have been luring him in (obviously). Id like to see Fedor just come into the UFC and dominate it personally.

can someone explain in their own language exactly what I'm supposed to be doing with the right stick when grappling on the ground? I can get it to do "stuff" most of the time but I'm not quite sure the motions I should be doing.

I feel it's a whole lot easier if you played Skate because the movements are somewhat similar.
If your in open guard you have to do a somewhat circular movement on the stick so your char tries to get into half guard and eventually side control.
It's always a quarter/ a bit more than a quarter movement. I'm confused on the direction you gotta do it because that seems to be depending on the way your facing etc.

I actually don't have any problems with transitions on the ground - well, maybe a bit if I'm on defense.
What really gets me is getting into a clinch, I can't do it, the other guy always hits me pretty and hits me and hits me. Sometimes my char won't even move when I do something with the right stick O.o

Any tips on how to get many many points in sparring? The most I ever got was like 30ish or so.

I had some trouble with sparring and even with the actual matches. But then I started over from scratch and did the following things :

Pick weaker opponets - I usually pick the least ranked one to progress slowly and having more time for training and sparring. I always refuse shit like random fights and photoshoots. I only do fight nights and camps, there is no benefit from other stuff apart from CRED and that would only get you closer to higher ranked guys and you will lose free time for skilling up. You get no skill gains for fights...

I also found a pretty good way to get lot of points in sparring. You get alot when you knock him down... And the best way for me was learning the collar tie or clinch. (should be LB + RS->) from here punch as frequently as you can, this will wind him up and make him fall to the ground usually = more points.

Also avoid getting hit, go from distance as well as it makes the most point difference and you get bonus points.

I used to get only few points or even negative difference after sparring (transfers to like 10 ponts Smile ) but now its mostly around 80 - 90 points to spend after every session.

U get a good amount for a knock out or when u rock em, submission also gives a good boost.

Otherwise (those 3 things rarely happen for me Mad) try to do everything better then the sparring partner does... hit him with more kicks punch him more often grab him and throw him down.

After those hings the next 2 mins im rolling around on the floor and try to block every transition he does Mad this way u could get up to 60 points... if u do really well and ko him 1 or 2 times u get 90 - 100 (at least with partner 3)

About transitions it works like this move the stick down/left-own/left when he sits on u to pull him down, if he blocks do it constantly till it works. When u hold him press the stick left or right, whenever he tries to do a transition (each time u block his attemp he loses stamina) u can also just hold the stick all the time in the direction, but sometimes the char stops doing the transition block animation so u should press and hold the stick every now and then l/r.

After blocking his attemps 3 times or so try up-left / up / up-right / right when ur lucky u are free.

But it all depends on which position u are sometimes u only need a quarter turn to break free or have to do 2 or 3 quarter turns till u can use the ul/u/ur/r move.

Some classes also have special transition where u hold lb and then make a quarter turn... controls are quite complex Very Happy

I had a mua thai / judo fighter in middle weight and had serious trouble getting beyond rang 15.. now i made a heavy boxer / wrestler and just destroy the faces Very Happy defending the belt atm ^^

This is one hell of a game! Looks and feels like UFC all the way, awesome job, really got the atmosphere right not to mention the animations and the moves, it's like watching the real thing.

Took me a while to figure out how to pull pf a head leg kick, accidentally knocked the guy out with a knee strike I think he tried to take me down and he 'fell' on my knee, nice job Smile

Oh I was playing with Cro Cop, some guy got me down on the ground-and-pound before, the screen got black/white, signaling I've been rattled or something, I got out somehow and rattled him then knocked him out.

I have get back to training not sure how to defend yourself from takedowns.

Yeah, I have.
Works fine if thats what you're asking.

I can't get into this at all. The fighting feels so fragmented with no flow to it. It might be purely as I'm coming into this off the back of Fight Night 4 which is super smooth and flows like liquid.
