I just did a small comparison between hawk release and the dvdr I have. Good news is that it's NOT the same subs. So if you can get the dvdr go for it. Beatiful transfer and good sound with english subs that make sense Smile

us dvdr has been released on the 26th by a group dpimp, you can check the nfo on vcdquality. I can tell you that this release is absolutely amazing - they've kept all the extras, even the director's commentary - but since that commentary is in japanese and unsubbed it is useless to me and probably 99% of other people who will watch it. The making of featurette is subbed though.

If only all dvdr releases were as complete as this one!

just a headsup.... if ur considering buying the R1 dvd... DON'T!!!.
Its a huge waste of money.
I made the mistake of buying it and the dumb fucks at Dreamworks screwed the subtitles bigtime. Basically there is no English soundtrack , its only Japanese so you have to use subtitles but the subtitles they included are the kind meant for deaf people. i.e. it describes all the events on screen in huge detail. e.g. GUN FIRING, LOUD FOOTSTEPS, etc. Its very distracting to watch.

i know there's a dvd-r release, but haven't seen svcd or xvid so far..can't do anything with a dvd-r, not everyone has an unlimited download isp

maybe you just chose the wrong subtitles
