Given up...
Installed in my Main HD... IDE1... made everything right... but NOTHING...
*No Disc Found* .. Wrong disc inserted... DAMN!!!
Can any1 help me with that? Cuz I almost deleted the image... but I'll wait a little more :/

when you start the game have you got the main game image already mounted ? if so try it without anything mounted as i believe the loader auto mounts its own mini image
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

I tried the crack from this release together with the 1.2 version of the game and I just kept getting bluescreen. On the other hand, the mini image together with Starfuck 0.81 worked.

For those that are still trying to get this running this text came with the NCRYSO crackfix I have....do it like it says and I can't see why it wouldn't work for any decent image out there......
| Code: | The game works fine.
but you have to do it right.
step by step:
1. install Daemon tools if you dont have it
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/download.php?mode=Download&id=34
2. reboot
3. install de game
4. upgrade the game to 1.2
http://www.codemasters.nl/downloads/?downloadid=13899
5. rename the original game exe to RD2_new.exe
6. copy the crack from the NCRYSO folder, in to the /Program Files/Codemasters/Race Driver 2 folder.
7. remove the installationdisk from the optical drive
8. start the game by opening the cracked RD2.exe
9. have fun.
Note. "unmount all drivers" on deamon tools befor you start te game
i hope it works for you all.

i already deleted the whole damn game, cos i can't get it to work....tried like a 100 times to reinstall, cleaned straforce drivers etc. etc. but still no racing 4 me

Well it's nothing special
It's the solution that worked for me
1) Full install
2) Patch to v1.2
3) If necessary, delete regkey
4) Insert new key
5) Mount the right mini-image
6) Use starfuck 0.77de (for my pc later versions don't work) disabling (in aggressive mode) the right IDE channel (fro me the n°2)
7) Start the game
*For EuroDVD version only*

i did just this and when the loader comes up and i press start game, it freezez and i have to reboot to get rid of the enoying loader

Y've read all think but I've a problem.
The loader stop with the message "writing game serial (refer to NFO)..."
What can I do, there isn't anything about this.
I don't enter the serial anywhere.

The game need a serial number, when youre done installing the game, you need to reboot then when you start the game it will prompt a window to enter a serial...so enter the one coming in the NFO.
Since you are new in here i strongly suggest to not ask for teh NFO or a serial in this forum or you will be ban...This is teh first and only warning you will have.
