Is any one here in the Wish beta?
I got in and i'm getting the client now.

I was in beta 1, wasn't impressed in the slightest.
Beta 2 looks much better though, didn't get accepted yet.

I'm in beta, right now it's not living up its full potential but it still has 5-6 months development time to go. It has potential. Right now I agree with the above two lads.

if i know you ppl right you have no clue of how to rate a mmorpg cause you all are affraid to pay-to-play ... so dont comment a game u wont be playing. its impossible to know if a mmorpg is good or bad after hours of play. it takes much longer. i was in beta 1 and 1,5 and wish could be quiet good

Totally wrong I know that wish is crap and will fail, there is no way that the game im playing can compete with the big boys. (WoW and EQ2)

Actually, I have reviewed two MMORPG's - one for a casual gamer's website, one for a well known belgian gamer website, and I've been subscribed to exactly 8 different pay to play MMORPG's. So if your post was directed at me: You don't know me right.

I've been playing mmorpg's for many years both beta testing and retail and am currently just about to quit daoc and coh ready for wow so i think i can give a decent opinion m8. And as for wish i've been testing from beta 1...it does have potential but i just don't think it's going to progress further than just a mediocre game.

very well said. WoW is the only mmorpg worth the money now. all mediocre mmorpgs sooner or later flop.

After careful consideration of all the facts and analyzing all the data which we have gathered from the Wish Beta 2.0 test so far, we have decided to cancel the Wish project.
Our Beta test will end this evening at 6pm EST, and at this time our Beta forums will close as well.
We enjoyed working together with our fans very much, and we are very sorry about this development. We wish you the best of luck in the future, and hope that you continue to enjoy online gaming, even with Mutable Realms and Wish not being available anymore.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Although those figures pale in comparison to WoW's sale figures, they're still not too bad, even if it is a free beta.
Maybe they just ran out of money.

It was never MEANT to compete with WoW. It was supposed to be a smaller RPG, at first anyway. I liked where this was going, but it is facing severe competition. From great games like WoW to AO trying to attract more customers to entertain it's bored fanbase by giving newbs a free year, to the looming thread of free shards becoming available for either of the Big 2, to a subscription-free RPG nearing completion, it's just a bad time for RPGs. Too bad, really... this is an idea that, 1.5 years ago, would have mopped the floor with ForEverQuest and Anarchy Oldtime. |
