Lovely,, btw does his page 1 info where it says "Common" mean really method 1 ? or is that pre-requisite before choosing method 1 or 2 ? do you see what i mean?

Would read better if it said in that case Methods 1, 2, and 3..just a thought..

Or put a sub heading above the methods 1 and 2 "Other methods of install other than common"

Probably just the way I read things, but it made me question what was the 1st choice to follow, the common way or the method 1 way, as common relates to most used "first" and so does "1" lol. Im waffling ill shut up now Very Happy

Common is what you must do no matter what method you use. Personally? I use Method 2. I won't have pirated games on my legit Steam account, I prefer a loader.

Common, as in "common to both methods." Wink Prerequisites of sorts. Smile

Sabin, is that the new patch in there, or you just happy to see me?

LoL yeah trouble is i see Dawn of war and go yawn, due to old experiences with it, oh well hehe.. I also saw some nice demigod gfx couldnt believe how nice it looked zoomed in texture wise etc.. Im guessing by the main thread though that one is really needing to be bought for online mp fun. Sp tournament thing seems to be rather just in the style of say UT2K4 where u face off and after u done all the sp part tourny thats it..

3. Run the xfire_start exe ---> Dawn of War 2 crashed Sad

You need to run the game via the loader (Rev Loader) and not XLive_start.exe

I still owe you tons of thanks, Leo bud! A few mates and I have been playing this online (The Club key FTW!) and it's epic fun! Hell, it's even got a killer SP mode too, love the pseudo Diablo RPG type of gameplay.

Best SP mode I've ever seen in an RTS, closely followed by World in Conflict.

And in the middle of using it I played some DOW2 with the wacom pen lol and its much more fun than a mouse hehe feels more natural playing a rts type game with pen. Very Happy

Aye! We've been doing coop missions together too. Mate, this game is seriously awesome.

@Seaman

You need to follow Leo's guide on the first page mate. RevLoader, AppId.txt, Rev.ini, steam.dll -- all need to be in the same folder as the game, configured correctly.

RevLoader???? In the First comment nothing RevLoader only simpe Loader.exe

Loader.exe, rev.ini,steam.dll, steamclient.dll, steamclient2.dll ,steam_appid.txt

All files copy in Dawn of War 2 folder and run the loader.exe --> exe crash fault!

Evrything was working fine until I copied the patches 131 and then 132.
Now I get 65434. What's wrong?
It has been sooo long since I installed warhammer with all the hassel that I forgot how to fix this.

In the game's folder, try renaming the "wintrust.dll" to "wintrust.dll.bak".

This game is giving me headaches >.<
I have the VITALiTY release, installed it (with their installer) and patched to latest version with both patches. Using the loader, when i try to start the game i just get the send/don't send error report crap =/

Odd thing is it worked with the loader without patches but it couldn't find the font (cause i forgot to copy the locale file from vit folder), once i did copy the locale file i got the 65434 error.

Also there is no "Locale" folder in GameAssets, it feels like the release is broken or am i missing something?

Running XP 64-bit.
