I extracted the required Xbox emulator files into the exe folder.
I ran the exe and my gamepad mapped perfectly onto the Xbox360 controller.

However in-game I cannot remap the controls nor can I use them.
Only keyboard n mouse work.

HELPPPPP !!!!!!

Edit: Never mind, I got it working.

"The uncaged version of the game also features a large amount of blood and gore."

I think it's pretty safe to say that RLD release is uncaged.

PC, 360, PS3 versions are the "Uncaged Editions" -- the only ones that aren't are the smaller console versions, like PSP/PS2/Wii.

Try this mate;

Quote:

How do I change advanced graphics options in X-Men Origin : Wolverine?

The graphics options menu in XMO : W has only around two options – not very good news for those who like to tweak games to perfection. However, advanced graphics settings can be changed by editing the configuration file – you will be able to change lots of graphics options such as motion blur, bloom, dynamic lights, shadows, vsync, resolution and more.

1. Go to your game installation dir. Default is Program Files/Activision/X-Men Origins Wolverine.
2. Open the "Engine" folder and then the "Config" folder.
3. Inside Config folder there should be a file named BaseEngine.ini. Open this file with a text editor such as notepad.
4. You will see a lot of configuration options. Advanced graphics settings are located below the [SystemSettings] string (do a text find on SystemSettings).

Note: Edit the configuration file at your own risk. Setting incorrect values can cause the game to not run or become unplayable.

How to enable VSync and Anti Aliasing (AA) in XMO : W?

In the graphics settings menu, you will not find an option to do either of these. You can however enable Vsync by editing the configuration file (see above). Just set UseVsync=False to UseVsync = True in the BaseEngine.ini. I have still not managed to find a way to force AA via config file editing. However I tried forcing AA from NVIDIA control panel and it seems to work well. Should work with ATI hardware as well but I have not tested it – you might need to rename the wolverine exe to something else that uses Unreal Engine 3 such as masseffect.exe or bioshock.exe if forcing via ATI control panel.

It's damn annoying that you don't mention if you got Nvidia or Ati so I have to assume that you got Nvidia (I don't remember how it works on Ati anymore). Anyway, if you got Nvidia, go to control panel, 3d settings and press add program, browse to walvorine.exe and then force Vsync (and tripple buffering if you prefer) and it'll work.

^^ Aye and roughly the same procedure for ATi, though ATi having shitty driver support means you have to rely on their own optimisations. You can't add the .exe exception Evil or Very Mad Basically, set CatAI to full, force-enable Vsync in 3D Options and play! If that doesn't work, rename Wolverine.exe to Bioshock.exe

@ glottis and sabin, thnx but as mentioned I tried enabling all this in atis ccc. Strange thing is even with the vsync=true I still get the annoying tearing when sweeping the mouse ingame.
Atlast bloom is gone and the mouse is now in free mode which is sweetness.

Excellent game btw, nice mix of action and some traces of rpg.

Man this game is EPIC! Loved the second part of Top Gun where youd jump from helicopter to helicopter destroying and killing everything in your way. Brutal gore fest extravangaza!

I thought the ended was pretty good.

The only thing what pissed me off most was the stupid Unreal engine and there graphically frezzing glitches all throughout the game.

didn't have any problems with the game at all was smooth most of the way through except in a few places where the optimization screwed the pooch. but that was minor really.

I had a friend who said he got 'no lag' at all, but I still don't belive him, although he has a better PC than me, everyone still got the occassional lag. It's in the Unreal's engine's genes.

Still a fantastic game thouugh.

I never had any lag or stutter, but I did sometimes get the UE3 bullshit of texture streaming Evil or Very Mad Not a game-killer, but annoying. Thought Epic would have patched that by now, because it's quite embarrassing really.

I'm stuck in the jungle level where you have to turn a wheel and three statues come out of the sides holding platforms that you need to jump to get to the temple entrance. For some reason I cannot reach one of the platforms no matter how/where I jump from.

Jump down into the courtyard and smash the wooden planks holding the statues in place.

I did, all three statues come out, I jump on the first platform, then onto second, and then I try to jump onto that bridge, but it is just too far.

TIA

Sorry I know. There are three statues holding three platforms, but there is also a bridge on the side in-between the last two statues. I can't reach that bridge so that I could then jump from the bridge onto the third statue/platform and finally onto the entrance to that temple.

I don't know what to tell you mate, because it most certainly IS possible. I did it first time (after figuring out that the planks needed to be destroyed so the statues could extend fully)

Minor spoilers.

Go near the door opposite of where you entered this area to the little water source in the corner and jump up, should be a block there you can kick down and then push to reach the third platform.
