BS is out, downloaded and I'm currently going trough the files and settings things up, will try to post a few details about it once finished, will go via the editor and files however as I'm not done with the MQ (About halfway trough, was going to stop once I entered the citadel but didn't have time to get that far.)

EDIT: Some new videos are also part of this, variations on the end video depending on who goes into the chamber.

*sits back and waits for the "mod" release Very Happy*

Thanks for the head's up, JB! This came just in time too, I finally found a fix for my annoying-as-piss "crash on save" bug. Turns out the saves are corrupted and the only fix? BLOW YOURSELF UP! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Couldn't fucking believe it when it actually worked! Killed myself with a grenade, let the game load from previous save, and now I can save/load at will without crashing to desktop! ^_^

Broken Steel.esm and Broken Steel - Sounds.bsa are either unfinished or corrupted, perhaps it's not supposed to be available yet (Still uploading) but the various movies mentioned above and the main data BSA still works, time to check on creatures, items and perks. Smile

Yeah it's available but the PC version was corrupt, unsure when they're fixing it.

Here's the new perks as well.

EDIT: 1.5 is required by the way.

EDIT: Totally missed this when 1.5 was released, GECK update.

Man Bethesda sucks, they fuck up on their releases all the time now.

The Pitt had problems on the 360, now Broken Steel has problems on the PC.

Looks like we will be waiting till tomorrow for a fix since the installer is broken.

Wow how the hell did they manage to mess up twice in a row. Dunno if them being that incompetent or simply not caring would be worse.

Bah give more stealth related perks Sad only way I like to play this game lol.
These suck. Well perhaps Nerves of steel - Faster AP regen.

Almost Perfect - All SPECIAL stats become 9 (Not sure if this will lower your 10's?)
prob that 1 as there would be nothing else left to choose from that interests me.

They need to hurry up and fix Broken Steel - I haven't played any of the DLC as I've been waiting for all three to be released before I give the game another run.

I'm tired of fucking with and sorting through the infinite mods and won't be using any for balance sake - apart from possibly a UI one.

are perks moddable, or are they hardcoded into the game?

Kinda both, they're moddable (And there are several perk related modifications) but the effects possible with them are defnied by what's already available unless clever scritping via for example the Fallout Script Extender utility is used.

They're also "stuck" in your save once you acquire them so removing the mod will crash your game if you try to load a save containing new perks, the console commands Player.AddPerk "FormIDOfPerkHere" and Player.RemovePerk "FormIDOfPerkHere" can be used to circumvent this albeit it does take a bit of time.
(Some perk mods do have uninstall instructions or even scripts in the mode to make this easier.)

EDIT: Example perk mod.

So does broken steel add stuff to the spawn lists? If so it'll probably be incompatible with MMM and others.

I am already downloading Broken Steel, in my language, spanish. I am not really sure why, but the spanish version of The Pitt for example, wasn't corrupt like the english version; all bugs I noted with english version, wasn't present in the spanish one. I think the same will happen with Broken Steel. Maybe this is because they release the english versions of DLC first, so they can fix the other languages on release.

BTW, Broken Steel include VIDEOS; not just the mod.

I tested player.setlevel 1, but that just reset level to 1 and delete the experience points, so you need level up again normally, plus your stats doesn't reset.

For example, in Neverwinter Nights, (I know is not related to Bethesda) you can reset your character with console commands, so everything go back, you add experience (with console too), and level up all levels again making new decisions with the stats. So, you don't feel like a cheater because your character will be "legal". I want to make that in Fallout.

I thought this DLC increases the maximum level attainable?

I paid for the game, I'm not paying for the DLC until it works properly. And none of it does, and it likely never will. The p2p releases are more reliable than the official ones. I love the game but damn PC users got kicked in the nuts. I guess PS3 users have it just as bad, but if I was a publisher I'd say fuck that to paying per-gigabyte on demo downloads, patches, DLC, etc as well, so I can't blame any company for rejecting PS3 DLC.

Not to mention the accidentally patched mouse fuckup (fixed by ini tweak)
The accidentally patched quad core fuckup (fixed by another ini tweak)
Lack of patches aside from DLC prep which is just ridiculous

Bethesda has always been known to release buggy stuff, Daggerfall used to crash every 2 mins, probably still does Razz. They make great games, but their QA needs a major overhaul.

I finished this game and stupid me delted it all off the xbox before the DLC started coming out and since i did not want to start from scratch i bought the PC version and cheated my character back to where i was basically and carried through the anchorage and pitt dlc but looking at this broken steel and wanting to play it it, is the only way this starts is when the first game ends. do i have to beat the game again to get started withe the broken steel content?.

I heard the pc version is buggy and has to do with the copy protrection or some shit so it has beeen pulled i am guessing it will be a bt before a scenes release but i would like to know before i go through the trouble ioof downloading it and installing it as i am not up to palaying theorough the game just yet,
