I'm sooo bored, I'm lookin for something that's not TOO kiddie and has an interesting plot and cool battles. No weird jap stuff, I prefer western style.

As an indicator, I like Wolverine and the X-Men Smile

to my understanding there is no difference between anime and animated shows.
anime is only in a diff language. so you watch and read subtitles. you can always get a dubbed version of the show. Like, you're getting all anal about people mentioning anime?

Check out the shows first.

The big o has an animation style similar to the 1990s batman tas.
Trigun is western ish. well drawn. fun. enjoyable.
cowboy bebop... man shut the fuck up and just watch it.

you wanted western style. those three may be asian and you may be all faggoty and bitchy because they aren't american... but they are western style. Especially big o. watching it, brings back tas memories. great composition on some drawn scenes.

next time just say you dont want no gay tentacle sex animes. fuck. anime and animated shows are the same thing. if you think there's a difference you need to pull that pretentious head of yours out of your ass.

N/A Has no good grown up shows. Any grown up show fails because of high budget and they focus more on swearing and titties than anything else. If you liked wolverine and the xmen you can watch ben10, or turn the tv on saturday morning and download a season of each show.

check out cybersix. It's north American. French to be exact.

its better than most american animation. wish id thought of it, spawn was a great series.

and yeah, there is a huge difference in story telling between anime and western cartoons, different values.. i love anime, 9 times out of 10 id pick it over 'cartoons' (im fucking loving the new fma remake.. loved the original, and this is just as awesome), but no jap stuff is what he wants, so theres no point trying to convince him to change his mind - he wants western style, he was very clear on that, so meh...

oh just did think of another one though. batman - the original animated one, not the beyond or 'the batman' stuff. batman animated series was freakin awesome.

the ghost in the shell tv series is the most serious and mature animated series i know
the movies are great aswell but shouldn't be confused with eachother, as they're very different in mood and style

monster
death note
black lagoon
bleach
valkyria chronicles
ghost in the shell stand alone complex

Dead Space: Downfall, Titan A.E. and Iron Giant aren't bad but they are movies, not series.
Can't think of anything else atm. The Real Ghostbusters, I love to watch that but I don't think its what youre looking for.

can't think of anything. Avatar is good but that is very anime inspired so you can't watch that.

yeah i stopped watching it when they started with that whole bounto bullshit followed by yet another wave of crap. but then i gave it a try about a year later just in time to see that they finally continued the original story arc - which still remains awesome imho.

bleach would be a great show if it wasn't for the fact that they put in 50% filler shit.

Star Wars Clone Wars is a great animated series, with excellent voice acting.

But the best animated series I watched in my life is Death Note, no words to describe how good it is.
And I´m not a fan of japanese animes
