					| Why are you making so many Windows 7 threads? There is one big Windows 7 thread, use that for discussion. | |

					| Well I was creating a fresh thread to indicate a new problem- as I posted earlier in a thread already created and no one replied but I created a new thread and got 10 replies in a short amount of time ...

					| rofl thanks but dude have you tried googling it yourself?
please spare me your insults im not an idiot ...

a search that leads me to a bunch of other forums with no answers really only tells me one thing - I'm not the only one with this problem ...

					| haha i used Nero 7 Ultra Edition
 some other thoughts i have-
both cd roms are on a ide expansion card
i can boot fine from my xp sp3 "CD-R"
 i can't boot either Vista or Win7 "DVD-R"

so I'm guessing my pc doesn't want to boot from a DVD period-
wouldn't this suck if I actually paid for Vista or Win7 and it turned into a coaster!

					| You can't boot dvds ? Wtf !
Do a firmware update to the dvd drive and/or your BIOS.

Or try to "upgrade" your preexisting OS.

					| I'm using XP and you can't upgrade XP to Win7 only Vista to Win7
I guess I could give that a shot - this indeed sucks monkey balls...

					| A friend told me you can use MagicIso to be 100% sure if the iso you have is bootable or not.

					| Yeah after the Maxtor Ultra ATA 100 IDE Expansion card detects the 2 Roms i have it then says a bootable disc has been detected then after that I get a Code 5 error saying it cannot boot - and searching this error really finds absolutely nothing but more people with the same problem...
Oh and I also updated my DVD drive from 1.04 to 1.05 and it didn't help...
Also looking for BIOS update to my mobo I found I already had the latest files in my drivers folder so chances are its already updated but I can't find a floppy disk anywhere to be sure...
