Man, I've been playing between both scenarios. lol
The combat is more stealth based though, so I find having to duke it out with opponents aware of me to be quite annoying with their blocking. >___>
Also why are a lot of the posters in the previous page banned?

No. This entire thread was in the gameplay topic, which was, as stated on that thread's fist post, that it is only for gameplay. Someone moved all the posts about crack to this thread and banned everyone involved. I was just explaining my reasons for not wanting it there and reporting the violating posts.

Ok. I do think then the other topic needs to be re-opened as i think there will be a lot more talk in there about the crack for the time being than talking about gameplay.

U can also see that from a different point of view , why waste weeks of free time to just crack 1 game , at least thats how I would see it.
Still nice that he cracked it tho but I can understand groups for not putting to much effort in cracking stuff since they do it in there own free time.

I hope someone could help me out with this...
I patched game to 1.1...no probs. I ran game (to get tages folder)...no prob. I put the serial and vca.bin in the program data/tages folder.
I then put the patch.exe in the system 32 folder.
I ran the patch (didn't work at first)...but finally got it to say "patch complete"
then when I tried to run the launcher.exe...I got the serial screen. I put in the one from the nfo...but that where I am stuck. If I chose activate by internet...does not work. If I chose no internet connection...won't let the game and closes.
What am I doing wrong? I am sure its something small..but I can't figure it out.

These instructions might help. I think the patch didn't patch anything even though it says it did.

I will try again...but when you run the game (after the patch)...do you have to put in the serial? Does that screen come up?
If you do...what then? do you select internet connection or not?

I think your right...this is from the patch. Weird thing is that it wouldn't run unless I chose to run it as administrator.
What am I doing wrong? I put the files in the tages folder...patched game 1.1....man I confused.

I don't know what file to close before patching...noting is open but the win32.x86 folder.

It says the CRC32 check failed. This means you have the wrong files. Are you sure you applied the 1.1 patch correctly ?

It says "Chronicles of Riddick" successfully patched...or something like that. No errors at all.
Any reason why I can't run the patch without being in administrator mode? It won't let me run it normally...keep getting that file in use error.

It's due to motherfucking Vista. Didn't want to say it, but there you go. That fucking UAC has you by the balls, you can disable it easily with a few clicks and a restart, google for "disable UAC" or something.

, and would it run ok on my system specs at the time, way to loose a customer
