So i'm looking for the best modded version of XP.

The only one i came up with are:

LastXP v22
Windows XP Vortex
Windows Ultimate Edition by johnny
Windows Black Edition

Do you know any better moddified ver of XP please post it here and also share your opinions

Thanks!!!

The reason is that i'm lazy and i dont want to install all apps and everything else again. If there is maybe an app pack that automaticly installs most needed apps please tell me (winrar, vlc player...)

My opinion: modified OS versions are worst pathetic pieces of shit humans can produce. Excluded from my opinion is stuff like hackintosh, that's another story.

+1 with Glottis and Stefan

Mate, don't fuck with your machine like that. Download an untouched ISO, grab nLite and start modifying it yourself.

no offense but would you like an app that wipes your ass for you also? how lazy can you become?

I have a folder with drivers/apps i use, so after every fresh OS install i tweak my windows , update it, install drivers , install/setup apps, and 15 mins later it feels and looks like my windows that i ran for 6 months before that.

It really isnt difficult or time consuming

That is true you really have no idea what someone has hidden into the modified iso --

I have used nLite and found it changed alot of crap and it was alienating to me, I didn't like it -

Installing XP manually isn't all that time consuming - even though getting everything you use re-installed may take time it's the only way to ensure everything is what it is - because only you has touched it ...

I've tried two modified XP versions (black and tinyxp, I think) and they suck. The first was slow, the latter kept freezing randomly. Now I only use the original (came with the laptop). Takes a while to update to SP3 and install everything when I format, but works better.

Yep, this is almost always the case with custom OS builds, they tend to be overtly large and bloated. Best thing to do is get a normal CD and slipstream into it only what you need/want, without the extra BS they put in there. Smile

Is there any "Guide" that shows which fixes are great to install when installing a fresh copy of Windows XP.

For Example: the connection trick, hotfix etc...
