Valve does not set the prices for any region, or any of the price conversions, for third-party games on Steam. The publishers do. It's up to them, to choose fair conversions, or not.
Put the blame on them, not Valve.

More like five games with replay value ranging from decent, to incredible.
wrathamon wrote: | Now just have to wait for a sweet deal on L4D. |
It was half-off, a few weeks ago. Also, as of right now, the MSRP for the retail version has dropped to $30, so if you can find it, that's currently the best deal. | Thats not true, several developers said that Valve sets the prices. I don't think they all lie. However, games have always been more expensive in Europe, so stop the crap and accept it.

Finally made my \very first steam purchase. I couldn't resist $9.99 for OB.
I've been meaning to buy it for a while but never got round to it.

Simple little crappy game? It's by Popcap, makers of Peggle and Bejeweled. I'm sure that many tough-guy hardcore action gamers don't like them, but I think they're some of the most fun addictive games on the planet (and the millions of people who play them probably agree).
Plants vs Zombies is actually the game I'm looking forward to the most in May (Wolverine, Star Trek D-A-C, Terminator Salvation, Fuel, and Damnation are all close runners-up, though). I already have it pre-ordered on Steam.

Bought my Warhammer DoW II Key off here: http://www.directgamekeys.com
Then gave another to a friend.
Took a while to arrive, but for half the Steam price, it's OK.
Heard it was a scam site before selling WoW Unlimited Time or something, but it looks like it's changed management. Can't really say though, but as far as my two purchases are concerned, the site is fine. A bit slow, but fine.

Hmm, it's 18 euroes here... Steam finally correcting prices for EU? Far as I know OB was 10$/€.
Edit: Meh, not enough on CC, and it's freaking labor day. Got enough multiplayer games anyway, but it's a good deal...
Also, I knew this was coming.

Pricing is bloody stupid
Buy Left 4 Dead £16.19 ( albeit with 40% off)
Buy Left 4 Dead - Four Pack £80.97
it would have made sense to lower the 4 pack price too.
Today it is my turn to be AN knobhead

Prices on g2play are almost the same as on Steam. That's just ridiculous. At least in L4D case.

L4D is this cheap only for the weekend. Im guessing they didn't do a deal with the four pack.

g2play L4D says:
The current keys stock activates the cut version of the game.
What it means ?

Why do Germans have to cut everything ?
26$ is actually more expensive then the current Steam offer.
