Sounds pretty much like what happened with BF:H, according to some of the "vets" on the boards. Before open-beta (or Patch 1.0) it was meant to be great, but too much has changed - for the worse - now.

Fix the lag, sort out the spastic damage amounts, stop ripping off the customer with those bullshit "$5 for 7 days nekkid shirt-only" micro-transactions -- and for the love of god, fix the match-making system!

We're giving 10,000 beta keys away each day, so if you don't pick one up today, try again tomorrow. Or the day after that.

I wouldnt bother yet , its a beta with big problems the simplest of which is lag , you can fire a whole clip from the smg or shotgun into an enemy and do mediocre damage ( im talking close range) while a sniper can hit you once and kill you ( maybe in real life but so would me pumping 12 rounds from a shotgun into you at close range ) the hit counters are bad , ala the sniper rifle and shotgun at close range i was getting 7 points per hit with a shotgun.

Today it is my turn to be AN knobhead

4 gb ?

It's 300mb for me Smile

As for it is good.. i hate it...

Lack of maps, lack of weapons.. There is some interesting skill progression system for the classes..

The thing that made me stop play this after a day was... the item/weapons rental system. It's like in any bloody ASIAN shooter... time based... even for the ingame cash items.. i hate those..

Released, that launch video was "different" as well, can't describe it.

EDIT: Haha, well I guess the game is a bit silly and "cartoony" compared to the other Battlefield titles and the payment system isn't exactly fair (Gameplay advantages) plus it is a bit similar to TF2.

Well i find it pretty addictive, not a bad game at all.
It does needs some tight balancing.
Snipers are overpowered, especially against planes which makes the AA gun pointless most of the time.

The most annoying thing is when a whole team is playing as commandos.

I find a Soldier the best class to play with,
feels nice to take down these shitty snipers with my soldier.

Ooh yeah, recently EA is spreading 200 BF for free with some redeem code.
U can only buy i thing with it though, leaving u with some BattleFunds u cant use. Laughing

They just got going and they're already desperate to get people to play it. I just got an email with a code for a free xp boost if I'd go play again.

Are you aware that you're talking about EA? The company that raised "bullsit prices for itemshop stuff" to a new level of retardedness? They expect people to fork out 4euros just to get a single piece of bling for their character (or just 1euro, but then don't expect them to be usable for more than a month). That's about 32euros if you want to fill in every slot. You can buy a full game with that kind of money.

This scheme is the same what SOE tried to pull a little while ago with Free Realms.

They gave away 200 points because of the 1millionth player. It wasn't enough to buy anything worthwhile (or anything at all). This strategy is flawed. If anyone is stupid enough to give away their money for useless bling, then they already did. If someone isn't, then a few useless points won't change their minds.

I played it for 2 days and gave up on it. I have unlimited access to these kinds of games in korea. EA can't even steal a good idea without screwing it up.. the korean games are head and shoulders above the way EA has it set up..

lmao, korean games are some of the worst, generic pile of shit games. the only genuinely good game is dungeon & fighter online.

Game is really fun if you keep joining servers till you have one, where your royal team isn't getting owned so hard lol.
Some months ago in beta, i wouldn't had thought that i would pay real money for this game. But i just did it about two weeks ago. Bought the points for 5 € to get me some items so i dont look like most other players. Good thing is, the items for real money now stay at least 1 month. Still it's pretty gay you have buy new clothes every month.. They should sell the game for full price as an alternative with every clothes having unlimited duration. But that won't happen as it is EA and they want all our fucking money !
And sometimes you get always errors when trying to join a game and your game closes itself because of this, or you lose connection to a server. It's a free game, but that still sucks.

NO!
Also there wasn't any big announcement by EA that it left beta stage i think.

You've apparently not played that much of them. There are some genuinely interesting shooters here.

One of the key differences. Korean games all have a quick play, but they also all feature games lists.

Can you name some of those good korean games you are talking about? And is it able to play them outside of korea? Because i know some games there are region locked

I enjoy AVA and Pointblank, both decent shooters.
Pointblank has a pretty cool helicopter map where there are two circling helicopters. You can spawn on them, one person can use a chain gun off it, and they fly around the map occasionally docking to let people off or let people get on. The goal is to take out the other teams chopper.

Metal rage is also an interesting giant robot third/first person shooter.
As for region blocks most of them aren't region blocked so much as they are blocked because you need a citizenship number or alien registration number to get on. However Pmang lets you sign up with your passport. They have AVA, Raycity (stunt driving taxi mmorpg), nba street online, fifa online, and quite a few other games.
TAAN is a pretty good scorched clone.

Well thank you very much for the info. Just tried to register on that pmang site, but this all seems to much hassle Sad
And what is an "ALIEN identification card" lol?
