The movie strongly implies it. You should learn how to read between the lines (also, this is not the kind of movie where there will be a sequel where the main character comes back from the dead) Wink

the ending is open.
it's not that simple.
if you just say this this and this and you have to earn how to read between the lines then you fail cause the ending is open to interpretation Very Happy

Look at which direction the character heading in the movie. He has a heart attack, he is warned to not go back to wrestling because this might kill him, he is unable to settle down with the stripper and goes back to wrestling. He is shown several times during the movie having pains because of the heart attack. You see he can barely stand towards the end, he's shaking.

The last line of dialogue: "one, two, three, four" (CPR). The movie ends with a very somber note. As I said, the movie strongly implied he ended up dead.

Just wanted to explain to you I'm not pulling outta the air, in case you were sleeping during the movie Wink

LL: He's a timebomb.

DA: Yeah, there's been a few people like that (with Brad's interpretation). I think they just like him (The Ram) so much. But it's pretty obvious what's going on.

LL: And he's dies doing what he loves ... he dies happy.

DA: Yeah.

Aronofsky said that it is not a matter of "if" Randy dies but "when", no confirmation that he dies immediately in that particular fight.

hate to nitckpick words but the "when?" part means 'ofc he died, why would it happen any other time'.

'if not now, when?' is also a pretty famous saying meaning that there is no time like the present Wink

Tyson 9/10

Baddest Mofo that ever stepped into a boxing ring before he got screwed up. Was nice to hear his side of the story and see how Evander really did head butt him. Sad to see such talent fall apart like that. Great documentary. I lost intrest in boxing when Iron Mike fizzled out. Thankfully, MMA emerged soon after that. Couldn't tell you who is popular now in boxing.

A personal opinion is always personal and variable from person to person.

But usually there's a general consensus in some topics, for instance, the fact that Uwe Boll is the worst director ever, similarly, this movie is just to bad to be given any more than 3/10, and this is out of consideration for the people who worked on it.

Crap is crap, doesn't matter how you want to paint it, it will still be crap.

Thats about the only people that have liked it so far... and that's counting everyone I know in real life.

I haven't read the book but I listened to the unabridged audio book.
I did like the book more than the movie... but that's not saying much.

i had no urge to read or listen to the series any further.
