I figured this one also needs to be in the Oldies section Very Happy

Info from Wikipedia:
 Spoiler:

There's also a release floating around from some guy who made a batch with DOsbox,
Carmageddon.Max-Pak.DOSBox.Edition.v1.0.WinALL-MasterFaster.
U need a fast PC for this tho, always had trouble with this one,
especially with 3DFX emulators like dgVooDoo.

Do you guys still play this one?

I loved Carmageddon!

Unfortunately I doubt there'll ever be a Camageddon 4, Sci was part of Eidos, and now Square-Enix have bought them.... I just can't imagine Carmageddon 4 being released with a Square-Enix logo on it. Imagine if they had a final fantasy crossover. Running over chocobos and such. Heh...

Yeah but one is more nostalgic, I liked the splatter effects better Very Happy
Tho flying limbs are also cool.

I wonder how Carmageddon 2 runs on Vista, anyone tried?

@twoism:
Nah they'll never make it, that's a shame.

It's also worth checking out the older UK versions, just for lulz. The BBFC were a bunch of tight-asses and originally banned the game, then changed their minds, so they replaced the pedestrians to ZOMBIES instead Laughing

Apparently the decision was overturned later and there are patches to remove the zombies anyway, heh.

Hehe yeah that was so stupid. I think with the original version, which was password protected, there were also zombies instead. Stupid green blood and ultra zombie sounds Laughing

Hehe you'd love the german version - it has robots and oil instead of blood. Laughing

I think you could actually turn them on in other versions too, just need to start the game with the -german switch.

Wasn't carma 2 the one where you had to do some stupid mission every second race? That sucked so hard.

It was, and boy did some of those missions suck ass. Iirc there were no checkpoints or anything either, so you always had to start again from the beginning.

Naw Carmageddon II had 'em too - I think it was 3 normal missions per group (the usual Carmageddon fun) plus one special mission; 10 groups total. There were some simple ones like riding through checkpoints and one on one against that huge truck, and some real pain in the ass ones like the one in the airport level (forgot the details about that one, thankfully Razz).

Oh man i remember that one, the only way you could finish that was by luck and letting it waste itself.
