Can't you go to the person cell provider's website and send a free msg?
Like if they are with....I dunno any UK cell providers but lets say Virgin. Can't you go to Virgin's website and send a msg to someone?
You can do that in Canada (and presumably the US).

Oh, that sucks dude. Usually cell providers have an option on their site where you can send a msg to whoever as long as its on their service.
Weird yours doesn't.
Never heard of Vodaphone either. Small provider?

Why don't you go on o2 pay as you go? I only have to top up £10 a month and that pays for my bolt-on; 100mins call time to any network or landline and then there is the free 300texts for topping up by 10 pound. Bargain imo. Screw contracts.
EDIT: Thinking about it, the 100 mins is only meant to be from my home/postcode but it still works wherever i am in my city.

until a year or two ago there were only 3 cellular providers in Canada (Rogers, Bell, Telus), and they cried like babies when they opened up some of the bandwidth/frequency/whatever you call it ...
asus z170-A || core i5-6600K || geforce gtx 970 4gb || 16gb ddr4 ram || win10 || 1080p led samsung 27"

You mean roaming?
Vodafone is one of the largest telecom operator in the world. Those who haven't heard about them generally don't have a clue about telecom operators

Quote: | Vodafone is a mobile network operator with its headquarters in Newbury, Berkshire, England, UK. It is the largest mobile telecommunications network company in the world by turnover and has a market value of about £75 billion (August 2008). Vodafone currently has operations in 25 countries and partner networks in a further 42 countries.
In the United States, Vodafone owns 45% of Verizon Wireless, the largest American mobile telecommunications company. |
However, to you defense I have to say that Canada is one of the few countries Vodafone doesn't operate in (together with most African countries).

I only know of the ones Nouse mentioned plus a few new providers ive seen and American providers.
I believe when you say its a big company (Vodafone), but if they aren't in Canada, I don't care much you know?
But since our market has been opened up, they might try and get in here.
I doubt in my area, but out West I could see them trying to establish business.
@Nouse
Dude, I only watch the World Cup. Don't watch reg league soccer (football for your euro's ).
It'd be different if say they showed all the games in the English Premier league every weekend or whenever they play like they do with hockey, baseball, football and basketball but they don't. So they may show one game this week and not another for 4 weeks...can't follow along and they'd have to show all the teams. What if say I was a Liverpool fan but they only showed ManU games? I wouldn't mind it if they did tho. Beats some of the shit the sports channels show....like bowling? Wtf? Bowling is an activity, not a sport for christ sake.
Anyhow, only soccer games you see are on that Italian network and its the Italian leagues and if I wanted to watch people take dives, I'd watch swimming.
