Braben has been promising Elite 4 for many a year now ... I'm still optimistic, teehee.
However, this snippet gives me MASSIVE pause for concern;

I still think Tron 2.0 can still hold it's own because the graphics where quite plain to begin with, it has one of those art styles that ages well.

as far is i know blizzard now owns the rights of redneck rampage, but i dont think they will make a brutal game. ok they did back in the 90s (i.e. black thorn) but now it would be a bit strange. but there is an 5th not official announced blizzard game in progress, maybe maybe....

Awesome!! I read the page it sounds cool! The only thing is that I would like to see DOOM remade with today's graphics but have everything the same, weapons and maps. I know there is a mod out there with the DOOM 3 engine called Last Stand and so forth but they stopped after a while and didn't finish. Plus, it's not professional, no disrespect intended.

I'd like to see remakes of the SSI rpg's, such as
Champions of Krynn and the other games in the Krynn series.
Pools of Darkness etc.
I know there's been a "remake" (it's probably a sequel) of Pool of Radiance, but that one sucked massively unfortunately.
Menzobarranzan would be nice.
So would Eye of the Beholder if made properly. Yes, I'm on an rpg streak here.
Also the Monkey Island series by Lucas Arts would be interesting if remade with Dreamfall graphics and style.

To me it was the perfect blend of sim vs action. It wasn't too arcadey while very easy to fly. Perhaps just a slight nudge towards more sim and we'd have an amazing game.

It may only be a mod, but it's the entire first "episode" from Doom ... remade into the Doom 3 engine. This is one of the most professional mods I've ever played and it's a crying shame the didn't finish the project. Only the first episode "Knee-deep in the deadl" has been converted

Yes, it was great, I played it all the way through. But it made me want more and made me sad that they didn't finish it. But I always, ALWAYS hated the DOOM 3 Baron of Hell. The original DOOM Baron was awesome, along with the Hell Knight. But DOOM 3 only had the one Baron of Hell but it was missing key descriptive aspects. I also miss the original Cacodemon and Pinky! The 3 DOOM II demons I was happy with in DOOM 3 were the Arch Vile, Revenant and the Mancubus. They need to remake DOOM down to the very first pixel, just into a very nice pixel!
