Thanks for the reply Mussolinka, but i have the iso so i can install the game to their machines, but you can't play LAN with the Avenged version - Lan is not available. Apparently you can play LAN with Radiance etc - i was wondering if there was a patch that could be used.

Did anyone else notice that the Unclean Beast is sorta overpowered? I fought with 3 easy AI and 1 normal against 3 hard and 2 insane, I chose to tech the Bestial Wrath and the vomit skill, and the thing that increases movement speed. Not too bad when you start out, but when you get Ashkandor it's basically gg for the enemy; increased attack damage and speed, plus life steal? and 10% chance for a critical hit. Because the attack speed is so high by then you get crits every 3-4 seconds which rapes everything except for The Rook (not a problem with bestial wrath on)...

Maxie: Yup, beast can be very powerfull but he's by no means overpowered.
That angel thingie can do almost the same and a combo of stone throw (stun) followed by hammer smash from the Rook is also sickly powerfull.

depends on how much that 40 dollars means to you and for how long you expect to enjoy the game. Me personally, I've never played any games like this, I just bought it on pure impulse because I like stardocks view on copy protection and I know they take care of their customers.
With that being said, I actually found myself to enjoy the game quite a bit on SP till I get used to what's what.
I bought the 60 dollar package so I could play right away and still get the boxed shit in the mail later.

At least in this case effort was saved on the programmers' part with having to impliment a DRM, and legitimate buyers of the game (such as myself) were not punished for being honest and fair.
Now Spore's 46% rate of piracy hardly compares to an 85% rate of pirating, but I personally don't believe that that many users have pirated Demigod, and there is something wrong with the statistic if it is only taken from server request data.

Most people buy teleport scrolls (250) so they can, for instance, destroy a tower and teleport back to base or another tower. You can stun them to interrupt their teleporting, but it depends on the artifacts or skills or ur demigod. Only generals can control minions, u can select all minions and demigod with letter N -check the key settings. Capture locks are also useful.

The four Demigods at the left of the selection screen are Assassins. The other four ones at the right are Generals.

Thats because they've got problems with their servers. 18000 paying customers trying to connect along with 102.000 piracy versions. No wonder they've got problems.

But thats how it happens to be in this case. Its possible to connect with a pirated copy. However, this is something they are currently working on.
Btw, its not the first time something like this happens to a new game.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

i dont understand Stardocks DRM policy anymore. Sins was supposed to be and was at release, there was a huge push to support this by purchasing the game (i bought 2 copies in the first week of release), and yet now i cannot update Sins past version 1.05 without first installing Impulse (which btw i cannot get to run on my machine). i thought the gamers rights thing was pretty cool, but one right was to not need third party applications to run a game, and this has clearly been violated by Impulse. and just try and go onto Stardocks forums and complaining, you will be bashed and flamed by Stardock fanboys, if not just told to fuck off by Frogboy, the CEO, lol.
so my point is this, something is going on with Demigod... i think its some sort of test or PR stunt. my best recommendation is to ban Stardock for its bait and switch bs. im more than happy with Steam personally and have no need for Impulse.

As I've already said; I make no excuse for downloading games. I'm broke, can't afford it, and downloading is free. I no doubt WOULD buy Demigod if I could, but I simply can't justify $40 right now - and if I *could* afford it, that money would actually go towards Assault on Dark Athena, simply because I'd get more playtime out of it.
Justifiable expenditure.

oh ffs! 18 000 concurrent customers playing,that's pretty good considering they were expecting max 50 000(read that L4D gets something like 20 000). That doesn't mean only 18 000 sales...
No one would have this discussion at all if the game didn't automatically check for updates,everyone would live their lives as before.

I couldn't care less. i just want to play MP without hassle. Don't really care the cause.
