Yus! Gotto love him. His angel form is really nice as well. or going mines and trapping all easy to get flags. Lotsa damage per mine and that combined with lotsa mines...
If you plant one of those vision totums near the flag as well you cvan even finish him with a snipe if he survives the blast Very Happy

Unclean Beast is a ****ing Beast.

He just pretty much tears through the opposition. Except for the dude mentioned above.

Meh... Just played a round as Rook, Regulus and Unclean Beast. Didn't like ANY of them. I'll try some of the opposing side, but so far? Torch Bearer FTMFW!

He's absolutely my favourite character! Powered up his standard attack hits for 500 .. then I have his AOE attacks too, not to mention a powered-up fireball will hit for 1050.

Very impressive DPS character. I might play next round in Frost-mode, see what he plays like there.

Nope... don't like his Frost build. Great for slowing enemies down, which I suppose would be beneficial for "team players" -- but I'm not a team player. I'm a rogue who just likes killing things.

Flame-build Torch Bearer = Epic winz.

i dunno, i tried this game (in singleplayer obviously) and find it rather boring. Nowhere near as fun as WC3 custom maps (not only dota, but AOS maps in general). I'd never pay 40 bucks for it, thats for sure ... seems rather limited .. very .. limited.

I honestly dont thing its limited. Not in any kind. Playing this 5on5 Internet game gives a very good feeling if developers will continue to adding new content its surely epiX win lets see DOTA its same thing all again and a lot of PPL are still plain it.

My favorite is definately Rook. Just get him the Godplate and All Father's Ring, and he's unstoppable. His Hammer Slam is the best too, nothing like finishing another Demigod off, with a good slam over the head Razz

Don't worry, I haven't been a hardcore DotA gamer myself, only played it with friends at LANs. I had no problem picking this game up.

you buy symbols for your hero in the itemshop, with the symbols you can summon people to your "squad". Also remember to upgrade your citadel once in a while, with experience buffs, death penalty, and armor.
Try and experiment with what items most suit your playstyle, some adds hp to you, others to your squad, some do regen, some add mana, some add armor etc.
It's a matter of figuring out the right 'build'.
In essence the most important part is getting the symbols first they're the "star" in the bottom of the item shop.

@Sabin

TB's fire skill tree looks strong, but ice is way more powerfull. You can initiate shatter combo, which does 2100 + 800 damage from ice rain, it also stuns, slows down and interrupts skill cast.

Other thing being better than solely fire tree is to combo both fire aoe's with ice rain, starting with ice rain(switching to fire stance temporaily icnreases damage).

No tips. Create, or use an existing, Impulse account. Choose "multiplayer" Login. Play.

@Muss

The thing is mate, I played a few rounds with the Frost build and didn't enjoy it. You may be able to build up powerful combos, but that's the thing -- you have to build them up! My Flame tree has won me a number of online games AND the tournaments on Easy/Normal AND Hard Razz

I prefer instant heavy damage, rather than building up.
