not sure if this is about being anxious, gef8. i'd say it's related to anemia.

It could have just been a panic attack though couldn't it?

It happens, you can do it anytime unfortunatley.. I went for a piss once and next thing i new i woke up 15 mins later upright against the bath... big gash down my back where some sharp tiles had torn through my skin with my dead weight..
Needless to say I know how u felt after its a shitty feeling but happens for a ton of reasons, can be that you were slightly ill or had been recently and it just caught up with u, bad anxiety, just a general dizzy spell... etc.

I wouldn't use the word "just" in conjunction with panic attack. While a panic attack isn't actually dangerous (unless it's prolonged, then it has a negative effect on heart and blood vessels according to latest research), it's among the worst emotional experiences a human being can suffer.
In any case, it's important not to let the experience burn into your mind, creating anxiety just thinking about going to the hospital. You can get stuck in the anxiety-loop where you provoke the anxiety by just being afraid of having it happen again. That's what a lot of agoraphobics (afraid of open spaces, a social anxiety variant) do, by connecting the anxiety with open spaces they create their own illness, getting severe anxiety anytime they have to enter open spaces.

It's actually beneficial to your health (heart & blood vessels) to have a glass of wine/4cl of vodka/whiskey every day. Unfortunately most people can't stick with that, ruining any health benefits by getting drunk.

Don't know where you heard that but it's not true. There's not a single qualified doctor in the world that would honestly say that.

Lots of people (media, doctors, scientists) recommend a class of wine or two (some claim that the white is just as healthy as the red) Good thing for me^^

Quote: | Benefits of moderation
Moderate drinking is defined as two drinks a day if you're a male 65 and younger, or one drink a day if you're a female or a male 66 and older. A drink is defined as 12 ounces (355 milliliters) of beer, 5 ounces (148 milliliters) of wine or 1.5 ounces (44 milliliters) of 80-proof distilled spirits.
Moderate alcohol consumption may provide some health benefits. It may:
* Reduce your risk of developing heart disease, peripheral vascular disease and intermittent claudication
* Reduce your risk of dying of a heart attack
* Possibly reduce your risk of strokes, particularly ischemic strokes
* Lower your risk of gallstones
* Possibly reduce your risk of diabetes
|
That's the benefits from the alcohol itself, not from any other substances. Wine have the added effect from the antioxidants.

you've got the wine bit right, but the rest is bullshit. and the beneficial stuff from (red) wine is also contained in grape juice. alcohol is fun, but it will never, ever be healthy |
I heard that it can help with brain illnesses. Studies were done showing that ppl who had drunk moderately in their lives had less chance of getting brain effected illnesses.

Tell me about it. I had panic attacks for a very long time but i got to the point where i just didn't care anymore, after then i would get a smile on my face whenever i had another one and after about 10 mins it would go. I had them really bad though, i once had one from 9am to about 9pm when i eventually fell asleep.

I always pass out after needles. I dont know why, as im not even scared of them. Its the sensation of the blood being sucked out the vein that makes me feel strange. But im fine until I leave. Soon as I walk to the car, bam, every time, im out. The human brain is weird.

I used to do bloodwork. I had some really tough and ruff people passout on me. Next time tell them you pass out and they will lie you down and then wait 10 after and you should be fine.
