The fucked up angle was a bug in the earlier firmware releases . it was the firmware itself giving the wrong reading , nothing to do with the rip
you could patch the thing with a jpeg and it was claimed to be fixed

Well, I took out my older samsung from my previous 360 and flashed that. Kept my BenQ as a backup drive. Spoofed drives are not as safe on Live supposedly, but I don't do Live anyway...

This is the wrong section for this, and its IXtreme.
Anyway here is the info on the release
TEAM JUNGLE Presents IXtreme 1.51 firmware for all drives & JungleFlasher(info) 1.51...
IXtreme 1.51 Features:
Wave X support
Support of future Waves of X360 game disc structures. New partition sizes and video data will be automatically supported and will be allowed to boot.
This represents a possibility of booting a bad backup but now that there is some good tools out there (like abgx360) to check your backups before you boot them, the risk is small.
So please check your backups to ensure consistency with the original!
Full support to flash all drives in the new Jungleflasher (0.1.51) including easy upgrade for Liteon iX1.5 drives (WIll get all info inc key from drive over SATA)
JungleFlasher 1.51 Features:
We have probably added or changed alot more but this is what we could remember.
Full Hitachi Support
- Added portIO communications for those with via drivers
- Still requires mode-b but drivers aren't needed anymore or drive letter in windows for drive
- Win API mode for all options if you dont want to use portIO ( fast as hell )
- Restore firmware = will do just that, as safely as possible
- All previous f/w's have been considered, so restore is as safe as we can make it
- Once drive is restored can be modified to ix 1.51
- Flash iXtreme.. auto-dump/auto-save/auto-add-ixtreme/auto-compare/auto-flash (need to have stock or restored fw first)
- Functions addde to Spoof, change Key, set checksum
- Free flash option is available for advance users which lets you do what you like ( warnings in place )
- Drive refresh includes "Scan for Hardware Changes" to find new hitachi's in windows
- Remove button to remove hitachi safely from windows.
- Auto-detect of hitachi rev from Inquiry..
- 79 unlock option works in PortIO and Win API mode

jungleflasher does not work for me...vista 64. Luckily I can still use it to spoof the fw and then use dosflash to flash the drive. Works like a charm.
C2D E8400 @ 3.8. GA-P35 D3SL Rev 2.0. 4GB 800Mhz OCZ Reaper HPC Edition. EVGA GTX 285 720/1620/2722. 700 Watt OCZ Gamextream PSU. Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. 2x 250GB HDD. Antec P180B.

The reason is that it doesn't support the Port I/O 32 driver that is needed to access the drive. I reinstalled my Vista 32 copy (dual boot) to flash mine.

http://abgx360.net/
Code: | abgx360 v1.0.0 is finally here to save you from the BAN HAMMER!
Very easy to use.
Runs natively on practically any operating system.
All the info you could want is contained in the GUI.
If you still need a tutorial or you plan to write one, you're an idiot.
Enjoy and thanks to everyone involved! You know who you are!
Love,
Seacrest |

is it only my xbox but did flashing to the new 1.51 gave your dvd drive a extra reading boost, maybe this wave check slowed the reading speed ??? and by removing it your burned games work faster ???

Hey Guys, this might sound like a stupid question, but I can't figure out if my motherboard will support me using jungle flasher...
Foxconn 45CM-S with Intel 945GC chipset ...
My usual computer (with nforce4 chipset) has vista x64 so no jungle flasher on that one.

well ok so I just wasted an hour unplugging and moving my HTPC (gf was watching TV), pulling out drives to get at buried SATA ports, having jungleflasher not recognize the dvd drive (guess not a compatible chipset), reassemblying and moving computer back to living room.
Guess I should have just went with iPrep method right away :/
but fuck, there are a huge fucking mess of cords around my PC .... going to have to unplug and re-arrange everything ... so much for a quick flash. At least I got the x360 apart in about 10 minutes this time ... but all this extra shit takes fucking time.

fuck me. should have used iPrep to begin with ...
1) desktop PC was dusty as a motherfucker and needed cleaning and external cable management
2) found out my northbridge fan has failed :/ ASUS-A8N so a common problem with that MB (actually had another one that did the same thing).
3) in the end it only took 30 minutes
up and running again ...time to fucking rock out with some metallica!
