Everything worked fine, till 2day.
Steam client updated itself and now I can`t load any game.
When I enter Load Game section Fatal Error pops up 'Could not acquire necessary game files because the conncection to Steam servers was lost'.
Even stranger is that I can start a new game.
Do any of you guys know what to do to fix this ?

Yep, buy the game! Valve deserves everyones money for Half-Life2. I dont normally buy games but I bought this one and although I have only played it through once and never played it since, I have no regrets for handing over my money! Maybe Valve are still working on preventing people with illegal copies from playing the game!

I think i had same prob mate.
Instead loading game directly from main menu, start a new game at any chapter, then load proper save during gameplay. I don't know when, but after some time it started to load games normally.

Yeah. Steve you don't need any steam-account for the cracked version. That was a long time ago they banned those accounts you are talking about.

I haven't bought this game [yet], but I will consider it when it will be a bit cheaper.
