Damn, loving this game. Great atmosphere, nice graphics, nice controls (playing with keyboard ONLY !). a bit easy maybe, but i guess it will get harder eventually.
No ground damage when it would be so much fun to bring down those skyscrapers and bridges.
Too many planes. Instead of all having the same 6 weapons, certain planes could have special weapons.
Killing a tank takes one missile while killing a plane takes two? That's just stupid. Ok it's an arcade but still...
I wish it would be more like good old Strike Commander.

Also, what is the advantage of disengaging the pilot aid? You get a crappy camera AND enable you to stall, which isn't really great. The only advantage is allowing you to "drift", and it's needed against certain type of enemies, but why couldn't they just add that feature to normal piloting? Switching every time is a pain with the camera doing whatever...

No you have to plug your scrotum into the usb slot via a ps2 controller adapter, and use your penis for the stick of joy..
The game was ridiculously easy even on Elite. Turning into the missile while slowing down during the last 1000 ft. or so of its flight towards you guarantees a miss 100% of the time. It was fun, but at the same time, very underwhelming. There was never any adrenaline rush to it.

You can play it online via garena, it works fine.
I have looked into this and i cannot see how to do lan as the game asked for a cd-key as soon as you go anywhere near multiplayer
1. download and install garena
2. enter a H.A.W.X room (left side at garena channels)
3. press start game via garena
4. enter the .exe when it asks for it (32 or 64bit)
5. go versus -> lan
6. create a room or join one.
7. play

I think that Assist OFF is not exactly the right thing... somehow.
The plane goes from one side of screen to another and the controls are... well... they dont feel like in assisst ON.
But still, I friggin LOVE that game!
I evade missiles in Assist OFF.
