Well, i did edit it before, but i still had black screen, and now i copied JBeckmans file over the one i edited and i didn't have black screen anymore, very weird, i'm now fighting Great-Britain for Independance

Why can't this game be played with the loader. Is the steam protection being updated or so ? Does someone know the AppID for this game Smile I searched in the topic but couldn't find it.

steam_appid.txt must exist and contain :
10500

And a little bird tells me there will be a new version of revloader to support this game soon. And I mean soon.

Anton, check if the game folder's 14.8 GB, as it should be. If it is, there should be no problems.

The choppiness in the duel videos appears to be a common issue, though.

Dont think this is your problem but the first time you are asked for "_0" on disk 2, is before you un-mount the first disk, and then you mount the second.

so just got the retail version. Can I install it over the razor version, as theres no option to uninstall the game. I could probably delete the ETW folder but what about the registry and stuff?

all that is sahred with rzrz version is save folder - you can delete the rzr installation folder - game doesnt use registry

i did the same - move folder to steam apps put serials and chose steam to verify files - then you dont have to install anything ( it will only download exe and patch file )

Custom battle all factions, modifies the patch file so not compatible with the latest update from what I know.

Nice that looks fluffy hehe.,, more dispersed/less dense.. good stuff..

Finaly sorted the 4870 drivers out i think Smile fingers crossed, played 3hrs of ETW and other games so far no bluescreens, etc etc... Also noticed why I was having little hitches when looking at the flag animation in ETW, i went through everything settings wise from low to high bit by bit...

Then it seemed it was GPU-Z that was doing it lol silly me.., must of been monitoring while the game was running in background and every so often ud see a animation hitch as if a reset of the keyframes happened and a pause then nex animation cycle lol..

Noticed coxy with the card running GPU-Z to see if all is well, that the GPU down clocks on loading sections or when starting up but its likt 600mhz then 750mhz then 600 then 750 all while its loading lol.. I cant yet seem to see an option to set it 750 perma.. Id rather not install riva tuner either really..

Will try the smoke mod out sooooon.

That's all there is to it, just open the main.pack file with the unpacker (Should be on that forum, version 1.3 something) and after pointing the program to the \Empire\Data directory browse to the \db\units_to_special_editions\units_to_special_editions_junction file or something like that, don't remember it's exact name at the moment, and right click and delete it then resave the archive as main.pack. (Create a backup)

Once done you should have access to the Ottoman factions organ gun, some Russian factions death head hussar unit and a special American ship and some other stuff. Smile
(Easily verified by playing a custom land or sea battle.)

It'll also give the special forces units though those should already be active.


EDIT: Missed posting about this, graphics problems on ATI hardware.

Ah come on, fire arrows, burning catapult ammunition, early cannons and muskets plus torches, bonfires and those "burning pigs" some factions utilize to break morale.
(Probably works well once the grass and tress are ablaze as well.) Very Happy
