well... i have chance to buy wii in half price +- and the only thing that atract me is that sport and boxing games that gives you some cardiac work..(saw some videos at you tube of guys fighting in front of the tv and it looks cool.)

now my question is, if you really make your heart rate faster with this game and not only the boxing..also othere sport games and the fit games?

also , what do i need to play this boxing games ? (i am getting basic consloe) do i need to buy any extra stuff to make it work?

thanks in advance.

Any exercise makes your heart rate increase ... the Wii just happens to give you a lot of exercise and exertion due to the fact that you're often leaping around the room like a moron Very Happy

I remember playing Wii boxing with my bro and both of us were knackered after a while, hehe.

As for what you'll need? Nothing extra. You get the Wiimote and Nunchuck standard in the pack, but you'll need a SECOND wiimote and SECOND nunchuck for multiplayer (obviously..)

The Wii comes with what you need to play the boxing game, unless you want to play 2 players. You'll need an extra Wiimote & nunchuck.

wii fit is a pos, overpriced and boring. but the standard wii sports package will last you for ages in multiplayer, plus there's other boxing/tennis/etc games or games like disaster doc...holy fuck, that was the most exhausting singleplayer game ever made Very Happy

oh and if you're buying extra controllers, 2 little tips: don't buy the wiimote alone, instead go for the wii play bundle (costs as much as a wiimote alone iirc), keep the 'mote and sell the gameon ebay (it's shit anyway, but i've got 15€ for it o_0). and don't buy a wired nunchuk, get the nyko wireless one (yes it needs batteries and you need to clip a small receiver on the wiimote, but trust me, you're going to hate that fucking cable)

reading helps like always, it says wii sports in the right upper corner Wink
(and yes, it's the standard wii sports game that comes bundled with every wii)

anothere question Wink

to be able to run "backup's" Very Happy i need to buy chip.

i heard that this chips may hurt the wii and will make it die faster than wii without chip or kill the reading eye faster because of burned cd's (eye works harder to read burned cd's).
is it true?

my machine originaly will be pal and if i understand well. the chip will give me the ability to play ntsc cd's as well? and what about firmware? can i update firmware alone? or i have to go to consoles lab or what ever?
or let me ask it like that:
apart to the chip installation, do i need to go to the lab for othere installations or i can do the othere stuff alone?

my last console was playstation 1 and it was long time ago..i think 9 years ago, so..things changed since this days..btw i had chip for the playstaion and i played alot and never had problem ..i sold it working and kicking.

You don't need a chip to play backups, there is also softmii (just google it). But I'd still recommend a chip, because the softmod doesn't allow full drive speed until now, maybe they will fix it.

There are always people saying that burned games can damage the laser or something like that, you won't get a clear answer for this, but I say it's all bullshit. Use good media (=Verbatim) and you'll be fine.

About the FW: You should be careful not to upgrade to the latest firmware, as it closes some backdoors for hacks, but there is a way to downgrade (haven't done it myself though).
You can delete the update from the discs with WizzleShizzleDizzle, most games don't need the newest firmware installed to run.

With GeckoOS you can play games from any region without problems, and most games run without it as well. Just don't install updates from a different region, it might brick your Wii!!!

^^ what bringiton said...install the homebrew channel and backup loaders, hope the wii you are going to buy hasn't got the latest firmware. if it all works out, no need for a chip.

lol..my country is country of combinations and there is a big chance that the console will come with old firmwarere so..i think i will be fine.

anyway tomorrow i will bring the console home finaly and i will check the info and will start set it up with the softwarere you recomanded me of.

btw..the deal is: wii for 214us$ insted of 380us$ (full price). so more or less half price..thats why i went for it:)

My Wii had the latest firmware, it was very easy to downgrade to the earlier firmware required for the homebrew.

There are lots of tutorials if you google, i downgraded firmware and installed the homebrew channel via the twilight hack and had backups running within an hour..
just make sure you follow the instructions exacltly and you will have no problems.

the only downside as previously mentioned is that the dvd reads at x3 and not x6, this causes stuttering on some games in the cinematic scenes, no big problem but it can get anoying esp with stuttering sound.

one thing i had a problem with was the dvd's i used for burning, they recommend using Verbatim DVD -R and this was the only media that worked for me.

I installed a Wii2key today though, much better now that the dvd is up to speed, and for only £35 delivery you can't go wrong Wink

Wii discs dont show up in a pC. Wii discs format is not readable in a PC. Try it in WII to test only. I have to burn my games on 4x using nero orelse they skip..

well that's the catch 22 of the situation, you need an original pal zelda to install the homebrew channel Wink

and don't forget that the wii is region locked...though you can circumvent that with things like freeloader or gecko OS, but you don't really need them except for a few games...almost everyone is available on PAL, so no need to get NTSC versions

If you have at least two controllers and friends to play with, get Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party. That game is pure insanity, we play it all the time it's just great. One of the best party games there is IMO.

Also make sure to get Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles if you like light-gun shooters.
