Dunno what to think about it, it could be good but.."super heroes" in a prison beating up inmates seems....I dunno.

The combat could be fun but seems very sluggish and slow, same with the movement.

Makes me wonder how the batman game is going to turn out since it's virtually the same idea.

Practically every RTS and FPS are "virtually the same idea" as well...

I was aiming towards the sluggish combat and the models feeling like battle tanks when moving.

I had this problem
there is simple way to fix it out
you just need go the Control setup in the game
and change your controller to "xbox 1"
then the camera is fine

Seems like a fun little game for the half hour that the demo allows you to play.
The review comments are that it's just about 2 hours tho and stays basically the same.
Seems like a rather shame because that'll get old fast...

Gave it a try as it was pretty cheap but it's very short and the ending is pretty sudden, six chapters or levels if you want with about twenty or so minutes of playtime on each though the character you choose might affect which parts of the level you can access.

Graphics are very well done and it runs great, not much variety though as you enter a room and kill everyone that spawns and occasionally open a door or pull a level to continue onwards, if you've played the demo level you've seen pretty much everything the game has to offer.

Combat is pretty interesting and there's a few different attacks plus ways to finish off a weakened opponent but the above thing about variety also appears here with few enemy types although each level has it's own unique visual style for enemy design but they all handle the same with smaller guys being very weak but in larger numbers with heavier foes being stronger and the occasional dude with a random melee weapon.
(You'll also end up seeing most finisher attacks several times as there's only a few different ones although at least they're a bit varied and there's a huge amount of enemies per level so you do end up doing a lot of them.)

Seems to be a tie-in to the movie and comic book from what I've read which would probably explain the somewhat odd and inconclusive ending.

EDIT: And everyone swears a lot.

The reason it is not out yet is, because no one is willing to shell out 20$ for a 2.5 hours game. Smile

Hahaha, well no not any game but I'm what you call a "gamer" or even "nerd" when it comes to computers, it's one of the few hobbies, or perhaps interests would be a better term, I have so that's what I spend most of my cash on and what I know most about.

Other people might go outside and have fun with various other activities either with friends or alone which is how they spend their time and money whereas I work mainly with my computer, still manage pretty well economically but it's definitively not a cheap hobby and especially now that both software and hardware advancement is moving forward so quickly. (Keeping totally updated would requires component upgrades like every sixth month which is close to impossible for most people.)

I don't buy everything either and prefer to download and test it first whenever possible but I'm also not afraid of testing things or buying them if it's not released in any other form.

As for this game and more on topic it's not a bad game and it's pretty low priced but I agree that the length of it is a bit on the short side.

And as been asked I can't upload it, it's about 1.5 GB (Yeah it's pretty small compared to titles like GTA IV or Empire or FEAR 2.) and I've no idea if the various Steam loaders works with it (The ones I've tried doesn't work with Empire Total War for example so it might have been "patched", at least until the next tool arrives.) so it's not something I'm going to try due to the time it would take and the low chance of it working.
(I don't have access to FTP and Newsgroups either and torrents are out of the question with a ADSL2+ connection as it's mainly for downloading and not uploading and especially not to a lot of people at once.)

Bit lengthy explanation and somewhat of a rant actually, hope this helps explain things a bit. Smile
(Sorry if I keep repeating that. )

Oh and I'm not angry or anything like that either, just thought I'd explain things a bit. Very Happy
(Comment was actually pretty funny as I have bought a few titles "per chance" this month such as Cryostasis and Necrovision to name two together with Dawn of War 2, FEAR 2 and Empire Total War to name three more, hehe)

Laughing Hahah

BTW, JB, nothing to be ashamed of really. Instead you throwing cash on booze or who knows what, you have different hobby. I never understand all the idiots that say "get a life." WTF, what is so bad about this life? What's so bad in liking science, or computers, or games? As long as it doesn't take all your life, nothing wrong with having that life.

Heh, agreed and I do have things aside from just computer games (Like work and my dog.) so it's not like I'll get stuck in some MMO or something.
(Bad example perhaps and to be fair there's nothing wrong with games like that such as for example the all popular World of Warcraft to name one but you can't let it take over entirely.)

I'll see if I can't give Watchmen a try with the so called "Revolution loader" just to verify if it works or not, program hasn't been updated in a while though and with the popularity of it in games like DoW 2 and FEAR 2 it's not impossible that Valve has "fixed" whatever security hole it utilizes in order to work. (Assuming that is how it works.)

Ofcourse this is mainly from trying to utilize it in Empire Total War which is a bit different as Steam is integrated "in a more thorough way" so to speak. (Might not be totally accurate but you can't access multiplayer, even LAN, without Steam enabled as the program will detect it and block access unless it's running so there's something to it.)

Nothing wrong with that choice either to be honest, with a bit of waiting you can usually be able to download whatever game you're interested in although new copy protection methods can take a bit of time before fully "broken" (Like SecuROM online or Star-Force when it was widely used.)

...And if you save cash on downloading games instead of buying them you can afford better computer parts or something along those lines.
(Or better "services" if I understood your post correctly though the prices and other risks aren't worth the 30 or so seconds of "fun" you'll get, hehe. <- Yeah that was a bit evil, supposedly according to a article I read someone calculated that the average time for Swedes were around 2 minutes or so with Italians being among the highest with a little under ten minutes, though unfortunately someone else in another article calculated that Swedes were pretty average at loving when it came to satisfaction whereas Italians were among the worst. )
