and by the time it comes (i think it will reach here around may/june) it will be costing around 150 reais.. something like 63 dollars.. but 150 reais is a 1/3 of the minium wage here Sad (not saying that everybody get a minimun wage.. but it is too expensive for me to buy a game Sad)

The game is fantastic, im playing whit Spain in World Domination and 1715 year, no crasches for now. Missing sounds and some bugs i notice.

Where then you should put them? Far on flanks so they are cavalry fodder? Attacking cannons? Well cavalry do that job much better.
And no they aren't deadly, at least aganst half decent human opponent they arent. Their kills are always 30-60 at most, while normal infantry get 100-120 with ease. Only good low number infantry are Grenadiers, but there is nothing light about them. They are able to decimate Guard inf.


they are used to harras the enemy .. hide in trees.. shoot them.. run away.. annoy the fuck outta them..

in the demo they were always my unit with the most kills.

They do require alot of micro management.. but the results are worth it.

they are absolute cannon fodder in a line thou

Try checking with Steam Manny. Game is very worth it. In fact I'm running gmail (for chatting) via Steam's in game browser so people won't bother me. lol

Wasn't directly aimed at you Marnou as much as all the other users complaining about it not working proberbly and how CA could release this unoptimized shit etc.

amd 64 x2 3.0 , 3 gigs , 9600 gt 512 with latest driver , works like crap, can someone please tell me at least what to do excepting the fact that i should uninstall it ?

Well, the game is smooth as butter here. Everything maxed out and no performance issues - e8600 + 4870.
I don't know - defragment hdd & registry, get rid of junk files. I think the cpu is taking a sweat here. Not sure though...

reduce unit details, turn off shadows, textures to medium maybe. also turn off depth of field and volumetric effects.
probably turn of grass as well.
unit size to medium should help if it still doesn't run well enough.
and disabling anti aliasing is a must obviously.

Seems likely to be the problem actually since using my archive (Either one actually.) with the updated sound file and Razors EXE file would be the same as the retail and updated edition aside from the actual EXE itself. (As it's been modified to remove the Steam dependency.)

Sorry that I couldn't offer much help, will try to be up-to-date with patches once their released and hopefully that solves the problem once and for all.


Got no probs here so far using your fixes. So it should work for most people.

Started out as the Maratha Confederacy, since they appeared to be the underdogs, but I managed to control the entire Indian subcontinent quickly, with ease! Europe seemed to leave me in peace, save the occasional offer to buy my territories and so I was able to focus entirely on developing my cities, land and economy. Now my war machine is in full flow, with little regard for so-called upkeep costs Very Happy

Great fun! and the real war has yet to begin, though it'll have to wait until morning...

yea i did the same, started getting inside europe, though i restarted in hard/hard . . .

since getting 60k gold each turn and being able to defeat any1, wasnt fun anymore . . .
