This has probably been covered but I'm being relatively lazy and only reading back about 2-3 pages.

Can you split ammo? I'm finding I want to hand over say 50% of my ammo to girlie but I can only give her all or nothing.

Causing frustration as the only way I've learned to cope with it is to give her ammo, let her reload, request ammo back, reload, loop. Trés annoying.

So far, I'm really enjoying the game. The feel of RE4 is somewhat intact. I just wanted another RE4, so the partner aspect isn't ideal to me. Regardless, it's still a lot of fun, the core gameplay is still a blast, and if you have 2 boxes, co-op is fantastic. Haven't delved too deep into the game yet, but I'm optimistic. (It looks great Smile)

Well this game is awesome, however not as addicting as the sleeper hit RPG Drakensang I'm playing on the PC atm, but that's another story Smile

I would say that the demo they chose to highlight this game was the worst piece in the game. They basically dropped newbs who never played (most people) RE on Nintendo or even PS2 and forced to battle with dozens of pissed off black zombies. The game after that moment, I liked a lot more.

Looks great on 120" beamer. With that said the game is not in Dead Space scare category Sad

Lets see if its as good as RE4. I don't know if anyone remembers, but in RE4 the scariest moment for me was when you're put into this castle with these demon things running around with blades and I just killed one, and as i'm turning around and stand still for 1 seconds, i see my head fall to the floor and that was the demon sneaking from behind. Awesome!

Now that you two (I mean Yondaime and 00101010) have spent a lot of time with it, how would you compare it to RE4?

I like it more than RE4, though I wasn't a fan of RE4 (still a good game)
but imho I dunno if this still is RE, even RE4 was like that, where are the puzzles and the scary moments? They took em out and decided to throw enemies at you which are quite fun to kill Razz

and I just unlocked inf. rocket launcher too

Sounds great. I disliked the old RE games because of the three main villains: the camera, the controls and the save system. RE4's turn towards action was what started my interest in the first place.
Can't wait to start playing this tomorrow.

I am somewhere around chapter 5 and this game rocks, playing this with a friend on coop is so much fun, for example he has some machine guns and i use my sniper rifle and shotgun for some heavy duty enemy's, i think i am almost at the end of the game.

I can't stand this game. Hell I can't stand the RE series. It's the control scheme. It's so ass backwards and convoluted. Give me a proper WASD style movement with STRAFE so I can at least move out of the god damn way. I died 10 minutes in, at the house with the giant axe wielding guy between trying to dodge his attacks (lol) and helping Bitchcunt because apparently she can't get away from zombies either. And what's with the aiming? I thought we were past this guys. It's the 21st fucking century. How can games still be this convoluted?

Its RESIDENT EVIL, did you expect them to change the controls to american standards? well i sure did not, and at least you can strafe now and have similar controls to Gear of war and not that crappy turning.

it's like that because it makes the game harder.
it's the same reason why Silent Hill combat sucks so much. If they make it easy to fight like in an action game then it removes a lot of the tension (see Silent Hill Homecoming).

I wouldn't have it any other way...

If you can easily move out of the way and shoot while moving then they would have to throw twice the amount of enemies at you and other cheap stuff to have any chance of taking down the player.

Just give it a shot, waiting for a title like this is sily and what are the chances you are getting banned for it.

Plenty of chances, my box had the RROD and was out of action for about 2 months, I never play online as only a silver account but I did get game demo's. Anyway fixed my box and went on to get the NXE and could not connect to Live, next thing I know it's telling me I'm banned.

The only thing I can think of was that the last game I tried to play on the machine was Far Cry 2 and that's when the RROD happened. My guess is that MS looks at the date of any saves or data of the game in the dash and if it's on there before release then BAN.

It's the only logical thing I can think of, I never had a disc in the machine while on line and never played online yet banned...

It's such a simple thing yet so obvious...

Your theory is flawed, people who get legal retail copies earlier don't get banned for playing early. Another fine example where people think that not going on live while playing illegal copies will save them. The only thing that makes some sense is that data about every single game disc you insert is logged on the console and then uploaded to MS when connected to live.

Then perhaps there is a slight allowance for early store released games, How many people get a game more than 2 days early. Most stores get the product on the day of release or at most a day early depending on your status as a retailer. We certainly never got very early releases in the days we were a top 100 Nintendo dealer.

Also, it does not explain why my machine was banned, a stealth firmware, NEVER played online, never ever had a disc in the machine while on live. As for your thought track, actually I was saying there's more chance of being banned for going on line before release date with a copy, the chances of being banned drop if you wait surely, well unless part of the NXE has updated checking controls which I doubt as you would be hearing about blanket bans galore.

Both need to be signed in, and choose their storage drive. Then just load whatever game you want. Then the other controller have to press start or something, my friend pressed some stuff and it worked ^^
