Timesplitters 4 was supposed to be a parody of videogames. Unfortunately the company making it went bankrupt. I am sure it would have been way better than this.

funny game , its a generic parody low-res shooter , resolution is 420p upscaled it looks fugly (the same like Halo3), you just run and shoot , hear jokes , run , hear jokes , watch a cut scene , hear a joke , etc...
its a mishmash of styles one time you play a generic 90' shooter , the other a quick time fighting game and some other time you play a 3D 2D version of Castle Wolfenstein (NOT KIDDING)
its kinda boring IF you would not understand the jokes or remove them , the funny thing is when you glitch your puppet knows it , "o look i am stuck in a wall , press restart ... oh wait HEY YOU EVIL RUSSIAN GUY KILL ME I AM STUCK IN HERE AND ... shoot me ok" or "eee thats weird, never though weapons could levitate...maybe this game is a beta or something"
those lines made me smile and giggle a bit
its a 5.7/10 game just like "Destroy All Humans!!!Path of Furion" or "Mercenaries 2"
5.7 means its low-res , its got bugs, its generic, never would bought it,but its FUN and man those jokes are funny, oh and its verb worthy

well I would agree with him, not a great game but it's ok to play (ok I'm somewhat bored and sad that I can't play Star Ocean)

Free Radical Design, the developer of Timesplitters, was acquired by Crytek early this month... there's still hope for TS4.

Free Radical Design, the developer of Timesplitters, was acquired by Crytek early this month... there's still hope for TS4. |

Ok, this is a game to play simply because of its humerous content and references to other games rather than the gameplay itself. The AI is atrocious, shooting is not realistic at all, but in its context it actually somehow makes sense. It's like the whole game is built to be just tacky and tongue in cheek. There are parts that make you wonder if the entire story wrapped around is just an excuse, but other times you can expect to genuinely find it amusing, if you are into games at all. Worth at least a try IMO.

I liked SOF3 too, and I like this ^^
decent gfx, tries to be funny, variable gameplay

Am i the only one experiencing issues with the controls? I can't aim because the crosshair moves on it's own from left to right. I need to aim left of an enemy, wait for the crosshair to pass over the enemy and shoot at that exact time. it's horrible. if that issue can be solved, it's a fun game, otherwise it's just unplayable.
