So Capcom's claims about being "like RE4 or longer" are just marketing lies.

Damn I just played it and I had not played the demo and I got to say this was one hell of a bad singleplayer experience.
Getting your partner ammo and help is so stupid. You have to go trough menu's to do the most simple things.
Very nice graphics but the partner and the controls= Fail!

Social, going find yourself another friend and 360. Play some coop and then you might enjoy the game.
Also the controls don't suck, did you not play Resident Evil 4?

I don't like the AI when it comes to chosing targets.
I'm finding whatsherface will pick different targets in a somewhat busy area so you end up with no dead zombies but say 3 slightly injured ones. Seriously, she needs to sick with the target until its dead.

I've been playing now for about 2hrs or so .. and I'm really enjoying it. There's nothing I can really add to the conversation except what's already been said ... but as far as I'm concerned, this is just Resi 4 with a few tweaks. Sheva has been great so far, though as Grimmmy said; she really needs to pick her targets and stick with them until they're dead. She shares ammo a lot (even going as far as to know what weapons I've got an what ammo is useful. She'll keep pistal and SMG rounds, but automatically offer me rifle and shotgun rounds that she picks up. Clever) and is always around to help out if I get surrounded.
The downside is that this ISN'T Resi 4. It's prettier and there's a few nice touches, but it's just not AS good as the stupendously awesome previous title.
Will post more updated impressions once I get further.

This is the shit right here, i loved RE4 so of course this is right up my anus.
Ive only played one chapter tough, i promised my friend i wouldnt play it untill his gameroom is ready so we could co-op. Im thinking it would be more fun to play it on a Hd projector with a buddy all weekend instead of alone anyway so i can hold myself..
Nice to have something to look forward to tough, now that i KNOW i will have a good time with it.

So you can replay levels.. hmm...
can you for example go back and replay the first level multiple times to get some extra healing items, ammo and cash then continue on with the later levels?

yes you can, you also get the unlock points at the end of the chapter again and can improve your rank.
You will loose your current progress if you saved in the middle of another chapter so only do it after you completed a chapter.
Continue always starts at the next chapter.
So if you replay ch1-1 you have to go to the chapter menu after that and choose which chapter you want to play if you don't want to play chp 1-2

Or, you could play it now and spend time with your girlfriend at the weekend.......

FANTASTIC game, better that RE4 imo. Some great set pieces and the most gorgeous graphics in places. wish there was more ammo at times, but that's RE for you.
No advertising.

Just give it a shot, waiting for a title like this is sily and what are the chances you are getting banned for it.

Yes the game rocks. Anyone that is an RE fan will be over the moon with it. They have built on what was great about RE4 and refined it. The GFX are simply awesome, just like RE4 was on the GC when it was released. Not to be missed

game is fun but it its just laughable that you can speed run every map withing 10-15 minutes time limit - when you know the map,
o and the only thing that i didn't understand was - why did they named it "Nr 5" when its Nr.6, you have to play Code Veronica to GET the story
or like the industry said Res 3 was a filler that should had been named 2,5 and Veronica is the true Nr.3

Plenty of chances, my box had the RROD and was out of action for about 2 months, I never play online as only a silver account but I did get game demo's. Anyway fixed my box and went on to get the NXE and could not connect to Live, next thing I know it's telling me I'm banned.
The only thing I can think of was that the last game I tried to play on the machine was Far Cry 2 and that's when the RROD happened. My guess is that MS looks at the date of any saves or data of the game in the dash and if it's on there before release then BAN.
It's the only logical thing I can think of, I never had a disc in the machine while on line and never played online yet banned...
It's such a simple thing yet so obvious...

Your theory is flawed, people who get legal retail copies earlier don't get banned for playing early. Another fine example where people think that not going on live while playing illegal copies will save them. The only thing that makes some sense is that data about every single game disc you insert is logged on the console and then uploaded to MS when connected to live.

Yondaime wrote: | I need help with the last boss (SPOILERS):
Spoiler: | So I've made it to what I think is the last stage of the fight with him, down in the lava. Me and Sheva, we're both on that round platform on the lava. And he has this pulsating red thing on his back. So I have LOADS of ammo, both me and sheva, on all our weapons. I run around him, pop his red thing on the back, run away, he does his swirl thing, and I unload everything I've got into the pulsating red thing that pops out of his chest. Then repeat until he dies. Is that the right way to do it? Because I've unloaded EVERY bit of ammo I've got on him in this fashion now... And he still won't die...
Am I doing something wrong here? I know for sure that I'm hitting his weak spots...
I have no idea how to do this, am I just aiming to bad or? Cause this is the right way to do it right? |
|
Spoiler: | I died like X times just because I run out of ammo on that boss my guess is you have to inflict a certain amount of dmg to the sweat spot after the swirl thing, so yeah you a right.
It seems it's only open a certain amount of time so use MG/RIFLE/MAGNUM/Grenade launcher on it. Rocketlauncher should work too, but didn't test it.
