Yaaah... after installing for a good 20-30 minutes the f'ing Razor installer crashed at the end of Disc 2. I'm off to Wal-Mart now. Glad I went to bed last night and didnt wait up to play it. I would have been really pissed.
I also had to use a registry cleaner to pick up the pieces the installer left since Add/Remove doesnt see the game. Argh...

Bought the retail game now but steam is fucking annoying. I've never really used it before except for the ETW demo.
Anyways when it first started it downloaded like 2% at 500kb/s but then it switched to 0% and started swapping between "Download Starting..." and "Updating 0%".
Tried a bunch of different servers and tried with firewall/av disabled.
Same thing.
If I try to Launch the game it says "The Steam-servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes."

well after calling by phone 3 stores , they all say that the game was release but allways take 2 or 3 days to arrive to the astores and in very small quantity , well living in Portugal sometimes make me feel like a third world country, hope to see a fix after i arrive from work tonight .
maybe if i could get the demo i could try to replace the sounds , but , i prefer a proper release , meanwhile thank you razor1911 for all your hardwork.

Ah well this wasn't down to steam being sucky. Updated my firewall a few weeks ago and apparently it doesn't close fully anymore so had to do some tinkering. Works now though

Yes most fun cant wait..Installing now.. Great strategy for me as I like the 18th century history.. Im gonna make sure I do a bit of alteration with the brits in the usa very soon lol.

Sound is fixed with the pack mentioned earlier.For me that was the only problem so far.No crashes or anything.Playing on ultra settings except for shadows(high),unchecked hardware shadows and AA off 1680x1050.

I downloaded the sound fix for all releases and I can confirm it's working for me also so far although, I will say, I've ONLY tested the tutorials - not the full campaign. 450 Mb's packed, 712 Mb's unpacked. Just overwrite the original file and it appears as though it's good to go.
Not that it should make a difference but I'm running Vista 64.
It's strange because the original file is 819 Mb's so the fix is quite a bit smaller. Still, as I said, it SEEMS to be working.

Well, had it pre-ordered (Canada) and it got pushed back to the fuckin 11th so I went with Steam and been playing since it finished installing/downloading at 6am and haven't had a problem, everything set to max. Movement, sound, response etc all fine. Even tho I've had to restart a few times cause I keep getting my fuckin ass kicked 
So....ANYONE know a money cheat?! 
Cause the old tilde key + give_money 40000 doesn't seem to work. Unless you have to enable the console somehow, in which case it may...???

I was thinking it might be the demo sounds. I have noticed the volume levels are not proportionate when using this new file. i had to adjust the sound fx.
im hoping my bro gets his retail copy tommorow so i can try the Razor installer with that.

Seems that it's the demo sounds pack.So either:
1) There are missing sounds because of the smaller size.
2) There's been a sound compression quality difference between demo/retail.
Or both!?

File size of sounds_sfx for the Razor release is 819,336KB, hmmmmm.
Has anyone managed to play past first battle of the Independence campaign with Razor release?
Still no release?
