Counter-Strike_Source_UPDATES_8.rar
was just released by IND group.. however, i load the game, and connect to server... as its saying "retriving server information"... or whatever it says.. it pauses at like 75% and does nothing
i have the ProVision release of the game (HL2 - Special Edition)
anyone have any luck getting it to work?

I can only connect to some servers. Otherwise it stops loading when retrieving server information. Though the game doesn't hang so you can just hit cancel and try another. I kinda bugs me though.

I don't trust Provision. Their Hl2 release was buggy it seems to me. I'm waiting for vengeance to release a patch for it.

I have (using the vengeance releases)
Installed Hl2 and CSS
Updated with the CD upgrade
Updated with that v7 upgrade
Updated with HL2 DM
Updared with Update 3
Updated with Update 4
In that order. Now when I try to play it says my version is different. This IS all there is right? I am at my ropes end.

My HL2 is f*cked up by provision....
Installed the patch, but not working here!
Dumb me to trust them...
Cuz in the steamapps/user folder, there's Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Deatchmatch and Counter-Strike Source....
And the patch has other directories... like hl2/hl2mp/cstrike.
So i thought, let's put the whole content of the update map in steamapps/user/half life 2....
Friggin' can't run hl2/cs/dm nomore!
So downloaded the crackfix, didn't work either... So did i put it in the wrong map or is the patch just being a "female"?
Anyway, i prefer the installer from vengeance, when are they releasing a PROPER patch?

Duh i know, but why the fuck does it say so in the NFO....
And i'm not 14, so why don't just shut up?
But my question is, will vengeance release a new patch, or am i fucked?

I solved that problem by setting cpu clock to it original value.

Don't have my cpu overclocked but my 9800 is... I don't know why it would start acting up now because I was playing Half Life 2 and CSS fine last month.
