23 quid?! I payed 52€ for the sf edition cos the cheapest of the normal edition would have cost 48€... Just getting fed up when rest of the europe gets games half the price and people still whine about how expensive those are

I am going to buy this, eventually. But right now, how long do you guys think it'll take for a scene release?

No, I will seriously actually be buying this game. For the multiplayer and because as said, this kind of game comes along every once in a while. Downloading it first cause I am not buying off the POS Steam, and as far as I know now, all the stores in my area have the copies reserved or gone.
So, any news on a scene release?

If there was, you would have already known of it and be downloading it right now.

Dude, I know I am new here and all but no need to get pissy.
I am asking if there are any NEWS of a release, not if there is one available since I know there isn't.

Ok, thanks Newty182. Looking forward to hearing something.
This'll be a great game, btw.
I am a long time lurker of this forum, although I have only now decided to create an account.
@rampart - it's ok, dude. I am getting kinda pissy waiting for this game also, lol. Hopefully a release will come soon.

I know. I seriously hate the wait, and it's making me pissy. I might as well download it, since I refuse to buy from Steam - the POS - despite the fact I would prefer a bought copy of the game as it's a DVD and way faster to install....so far all the stores in my area have all their copies reserved. Be a while before I get a copy of the game.
Just hope it appears by Wednesday. Or wishful thinking?

fuck some companys who put their games on steam are idiots.
I mean honestly.. digi distribution should be so much cheaper.. streamlined.. and well yeah.
Instead its 50% expensive.. ya get no box.. no manual.. no map.. none of the extras that come with it.

Yeah, and you wont be able to patch it..
Btw guys, check out my Steam receit..
Empire: Total War (preorder EU) 39,99 EUR
---------------
Total 49,99 EUR
All prices include VAT where applicable.
Note how it states that all prices include VAT?
Notice how Total is 10 EUR higher than the price of the actual game?
Now, if those 10 EUR were tax, wouldnt it simply say "VAT/Tax 10 EUR" underneith the game itself, like every single receit for every other store on the planet?
I've never ever bought anything in my life that just stated a final price with unspecified expenses.
Where the fuck did those extra 10 EUR come from? And why am i paying them? Pre-order fee? Steam-greed-lets-make-it-expensive fee? Steam-messing-up-currencies fee?
Its obvious from the receit that the game itself as a whole, simply costs 39.99 EUR..
Created a thread about this on the steam forums, it appears people who paid in Dollars do NOT have similar receits, theirs clearly state the same price on the game and in total.
Really fucked up..

Yep.
That's just shady crap on Valve's part.
My receipt has it as 49 USD exactly.
It's like one of those stores who claims lists items at a certain price and claim that those are VAT included, and when you look at the receipt, they just multiply 1500 by the VAT rate, and deduct it. The resulting price is the original price, + the deducted price (VAT) = a very tidy 1500.

Because we don't have a homosexual government that rapes us in the ass with VAT. Voice your problems to your politicians.

Yes, you are American. We are very proud for you.
No need to go calling other countries governments "homosexual".

Our government is bi-sexual. It rapes both men and women without any prejudices. It's awesome.
