How would you do such thing? i have a .vob file and i'd like to convert it to a format youtube will recognize as being HD, so that "Watch in HD" option would appear when playing it thru their website...
Well..essentially... .vob files are mpeg2 files.. so you could rename them to .mpeg and then use a mpeg2 program to downgrade them a bit.. or chop them so you get the bit you want..... then upload it to youtube!
anything at least 5500 bitrate.
bigger file = better quality = watch in hd.
You can never transform the source into better quality, ie. you can't turn non-HD DVD material into HD quality. However, in this case I think it's not what the guy is talking about, he want to upload something in DVD quality to Youtube and want to retain the quality, avoiding youtube raping the quality and turning it into a pixel-blob fest.
yeah exactly.
convert it to something minimum at 5600bitrate.
so it's at least 50 megs a minute.
Then it uploads a large file and you'll get the (watch in HD) and you'll get good quality.
Small files poorly encoded will look like trash.
It's a lot easier to upload almost raw files onto youtube since you got a gig upload limit.
