well from the other replys you start from the checkpoints and not the beginning until you turn off the console.
But yeh i dont have much time for games so im not sure if i should get it or not. it seems to be getting good feedback so far apart from the saving issue so i might try it out.

ok I only just played the first mission.. but from what I've seen so far, this game is pure awesomeness.

I love it. A little tip save up on those fist aid things, you are really gonna need them on the last boss.

Ninjas are cool but three-eyed giant spiders are not awesome at all. In fact, they are boring as hell. This is not a real ninja game, this is Super Mario Bros game dressed as ninja game.

Well.. for me, fighting three-eyed giant spiders climbing around on skyscrapers in downtown tokyo is defintely more awesome than fighting other ninjas in a feudal japanese living room.
but to each his own!

Awesome game but save system sucks. Yesterday I played second mission. But stucked. So I turned off the box and my whole progress gone away. No motivation to play again. It's a good example to fuck up an awesome game. I would buy it if the save system would be better. Or is there a trick to save between missions?

No trick and i personally like the save system, just finish the mission and then you can decide todo another one, the first time i fucked up too and had to do mission 1 all over again but this game is really good and worth playing.

This is a poor mans Ninja Gaiden. They've wow'd the average gamer with impressive production quality but when it comes to the action itself the game falls flat on it's face. Sloppy and boring.

The average gamer? So what are you, some elite pro? Get over yourself.
People enjoy games for different reasons, it doesn't have any bearing on how superficial they are. I've completed both this and both Ninja Gaidens, and I can't say Gaiden was especially superior.

Yeah I also get the feeling in some levels that it's pretty unpolished. Sure it is fun and looks great, but take for example the air plane level... the first fight against a hydra head was ok, but going twice through fighting of some helicopters and then again knocking back giant lava boulders with a tiny ninja sword to damage the heads for the 3rd time just felt cheap.
I am not saying the game is not fun, it just feels unpolished in places.

Save system sucks bad,the game it´s boring as ninja gaiden.
Ninjas with stupids large weapons vs deformed monsters+stupid plot tokio in danger=Jap crap.

it's not as if the "story" can be spoil0red in any way 
| Spoiler: | btw, you don't really kill him, as you have to kill him again in mission nine. twice. and then another time in his belly or heart or whatever that place they stole from the ninja gaiden 2 cover is located inside his new form. |

Im in mission 6. How do you defeat that fire monster? Im using that wind thing to put out the flames. But his flames getting back fast.
