Yeah I figured as much, though I thought Microsoft wanted to have patches distributed via their LIVE framework despite the game relying on Steam.
Perhaps not though as DLC content still goes via LIVE.

it depend - i had to run steam - otherwise got error
now i managed to add it to steam as non steam game ... and it will run without loader at all ...
any progress with day 0 patch ?

If you got a Steam error while trying to start it, you have to change the path for the Steamclient.dll in your rev.ini, to your actual Steam folder. That fixed it for me.

No need for that just take steamclient.dll from legit steam and rename it to steamclient2.dll, now copy it into game directory (there is already steamclient.dll from loader archieve) and edit your rev.ini:
SteamClientDll=steamclient2.dll (no need for full path)

Anyone with the rForce release manage to finish it? I'm hearing of crashes in one particular mission. I haven't started playing yet, but wanted to make sure.

Is there any way to force the game to start? My friend can't start it, cause it tells him the system requirements aren't met. He can play CoH no problem, so this should work too, right?

You need SM3.0 on your video card. There are 40$ cards that have it nowadays... 60$ for a decent one... 120$ for a great one.

You could wait for a cracked update or buy it. Nobody is forcing you to do either lol. I bought it, single player's good enough and lots of free DLC is on the way.
