armando99 Games for Windows Live is not the same thing with Games for Windows.
There are only a few games part of the Live program. That cd key will work only with them (Fallout 3, Quantum of Solace and GTA IV that are the most recent/important).

I liked the scene with the guy falling to his doom, with the shadow of the helicopter falling near to him as well. It was quite arty.

Weee just finished, great game. The only really bad thing about the game is that it virtually extends play time by having a shitty save system making you waste tons of time if you fail a mission.

Yeah they've said the DLC will have mid mission checkpoints.

Looks like poor mans attempt to get some of the real DLC feel. Real DLC is 1.7GB size and has 10+ hour of story missions, side missions, new music, new MP game modes, new minigames and so on.

ohh didnt see they released a new crack..thanks mate.
i have a c2d e6550 @ 2.4Ghz 4gb ddr2 and a 9800gt 512 running on vista 64 is GTA4 suppose do look this ugly on my machine, dont pay attention to the performence in the FPS im asking about how its suppose to look, ive seen videos on you tube of the game running on 9600 and 8800 and it looks way better.
at night there are weird textures near light posts and the shadows during the day look like shit no matter what setting there on.

The 1.2 patch added a bunch of new graphics options, which lets you tweak the game for better performance. I'm not sure about general optimisations, but since I got my 4870 - I can run the game every toggle option on highest and sliders on 35% -- and get 30-45ish fps with zero stutter.
