better still if u have a usb pen drive or a friend who can boot backups on their ps2 u can get the "cogswap" exploit on your memory card ...then all u need is a slide card (make one form a old store/credit card.. very easy) an original high TOC PS2 game (TOC ..something to do with setting the file size ,GTA3 is a favourite with a size of 4.37gigs, just check the size on a PC dvd drive, basically the backup must not be bigger than the original PS2 game used for the TOC refresh) and an original PS1 game (this is used to trigger the exploit)
to load backups with cogswap..
1) trigger cogswap exploit by inserting ps1 game
2) refresh TOC by pressing "eject" and insert PS2 DVD game and press "eject" again to load..press "x" on controller at the "cogswap dvd" prompt" ,then wait a few seconds for "purple cogswap screen" ...note for ps2 cd based games this step is not needed
3) use slidecard to swap in backup at the "purple cogswap" screen...enjoy
