Well, the patch makes this game playable at least. With a x2 6000+ and a 8800gt I am still experiencing a lot of stutter and slow down in traffic. Too bad the online play is pretty much dead.

To anyone still waiting for my PMs ... sorry! There's FIVE messages still in the "Outbox" that haven't been sent yet, and I don't know why.
Just be patient and they'll go out eventually, I guess.

A quick look at the credits would reveal the answer to be yes, it is Michael Dorn. There are a number of other Celebrity voices like Doogie Howser doing Veteran Child.
Here is a link to the full cast

Holy hell. I recognised most of the voice acting, but I did NOT know it was Daniel Dae Kim!

That's why he's been banned again, lol.
Hey R-Tard? The patch is "proper" (it's the exact same files that come from your beloved Steam) and it works perfectly. All the issues mentioned in the patch changelog are present and correct in this patch. 3rd party controller scrolling issues? Gone. Now I can play the game with my Saitek controller and not have it flip out at the menu. Framerate cap? Gone. Performance? Increased massively.

Why there isn't patch released in the "usual" places i wonder. Many weeks ago official patch released. Is this so bad game that no one cares...

Steam title, everything is handled by Steam itself so to create a patch you would need to rip the updated files and overwrite them as there's no official EXE installer based patch.
Several Steam "Underground" (Or what to call them.) sites do have links to the patched data though so it is available although it's not very widely spread yet.
It's usually the same for most Steam games so I guess this will also be the case with Empire at War, Dawn of War 2, Shellshock, Perimeter 2 and others that use Steam as their main distribution platform. (DoW 2 being a exception though as it also uses G4WL.)
Haven't played in a while as there's mostly side missions left and doing too many in a row gets a bit repetitive but the rewards are usually worth it.
(Septic Avenger is quite a bother at times though due to how fast you need to work during later stages plus a low capacity before the pump or whatever has recharged but spraying sewage waste and shit all over the area is pretty fun though it's very scripted and more like a "rail-shooter" or whatever the term is.)

Now that I played 360 version I see what a huge failure PC version is. It really is a good and fun game but what a shame about this bad port.

This game is awesome fun. There is a reason why it is yahtzee game of the year. Search for his review.
One tip. You need to turn down the sensitivity of the controllers. It starts off at around 50%. It needs to be dialled down to 10%. I also turned the mouse sensitivity down to 12%
Otherwise turning left on the keyboard makes you try to do an instant 90 degree turn.
Once that is fixed it was one of the few games that I finished.

New patch, some smaller fixes and corrections.
EDIT: Updated files, also includes the updates to the shader file so it's compatible with the previous patch changes, by default it's a bit modified to remove the character pixelation but I included the original file.
(These are for use with a Steam loader or similar by the way.)
For the rev loader program the AppId is 9480
