The thing with subscriptions is that people needs to feel they get something in return of their investment. If Diablo III is good and subscriptions means future added content that I think justifies the subscription cost, then yes I will subscribe. I'm pretty sure no one think a developer should be adding content free of charge after they've released a finished game. Let me however stress that I'm talking about a finished game.

When Diablo 2 first came out I was like:nice joke now where is the full game(though it was beta when I saw the SAVE AND EXIT option) But then I realized it wasn't a beta, but a full game. I though to myself Diablo 1 was awesome this can't be that bad. And I wasn't wrong. Kept playing it like mad and it grew on me. I still think Blizzard overdevelops their games.Takes them ages to release them and when they come out they feel kinda outdated.I have no doubt in my mind this will be the case for Diablo 3 as well.

Blizzard games look great, but due to the awesome art direction, not the technology
And Blizzard is the proof that gameplay >>> advanced graphics
How many awesome-looking games flopped badly and destroyed their companies because they were shit ?

My point is they pushed the Diablo 2 to the limits. If they w8ted a little longer it would have been a failure. Anyways what happened to integrated guilds option they said the final version would have had.
Diablo 3 =no lan, auto-stats, max 5 players= still too early to say but it's not looking good.

huh, there will be auto stating on level up ?
and yes, the no-lan option pretty much turns me off.., that and one more thing..
Seeing how there is no release date nor any updates...it won't be out this year.
And the thing is, that i want to play the games right here and right now- because being less and less interesting in them overall with each day- i may even not give a damn about games after two years...
So yes, Blizzard do polish their games.. but it takes 4-5 years to do it... And 5 years is a very long time to keep someone interested in a product- so having such a long development time does not seem profitable to me if the goal is to address the old fans.
I would think that a successful company like Blizzard has the resources to halve the production time and still to come up with a quality product... but.. it seem it's now so.
And anywhay.. i hope that game will actually br out sooner.. or there will be an info about it soon (and god- i hate the retarded "when it's done" line- it's so pathetically overused by now)

I doubt it (about SC2) : we now know that SC2 isnt far from Closed Beta now, and I never saw a Blizzard game that would be beta testing for more than 6 months except their MMORPG (WoW)...
But then again, i could be wrong, specially if the beta is at the end of the year (which I doubt, again, considering how Blizzard is teasing about it)
I actually think they aren't attending to E3 this year simply because they'll be busy taking care of SC2 final tweaks...

sc2 really only depends on how long it takes to balance MP and finish Terran SP atm. that's it. we've seen the videos, it's one of the most complete betas i've seen. it's like freaking gmail.

The game was shown in Paris last week-end and you could actually play it for 3 euros : lots of players reported the game seemed finished, at least the MP part, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the Closed Beta....

Well, shit. I want to distribute my own skill points damnit. Is this gonna be some hack&slash version of WoW ? Cause I thought Diablo 3 was gonna be ... a diablo game.
Also, I wanted to play the campaign co-op with 1-2 friends, it would rock so hard. But nooooo, it's only online so I have to pay the monthly subscription. Yeah, sure I will.
Normal gamers are being left out more and more, obsessed mmorpg kids are the target audience.

I am sorry new multiplayer supports up to 8 players, but it plays better with only 5.
Auto-stats is very wow like (items not depending on stats).
Inventory looks like utter shit now. I mean totally taken from WoW.
I am convinced we will have World of Diablo.

). And by PK i don't mean ganking on low levels (even thoug it was fun once in a while) , i mean going in a full hell game and go hunting for everyone in the game. At the end it wasn't as much fun since most player were doing Baal or Mephisto runs but it was an absolute blast pre expension.
