Really cant stand the fact that they keep stringing people along and cant even give a ETA on games.
Blizzard that is, its like a halfassed attitude toward their customers imo.

They can't win either way really.
If they state a release date and then push it back, people will bitch about that too.
I'd rather not know until they are sure myself.

Would you have been happier if they didn't announce it? Or release an unfinished game which seems to be the trend these days?

nah i just want a ETA, i dont mind if it gets pushed back... Besides they have a pretty clear idea most of the time when the game is coming.
But yeah, thats the only complaint i got about blizzard, they do make good games with Depth and good story and balanced multiplayer.

they at least deliver quality games that are played many many years after release and still remain fun, I think that is worth the long wait for me
to much companies anounce projects and say it is released x date and delay it time after time, when blizzard states a release date it usually gets released that date

Blizzard: We're in the Final Stretch (For StarCraft 2)
Blizzard Lead Designer Dustin Browder took to the boards to answer people's questions about StarCraft 2. One reassurring tidbit he mentioned is that the game is "in the final stretch" although he didn't give out any specific release date infos. Hopefully that beta we've been hearing about starts soon.

If i could get Starcraft 2 tomorrow i would jump at the chance but seriously i'm willing to wait until Blizzard has reached a point with SC2 where they feel it's ready for release. StarCraft is still a game i can start up and enjoy (even more than games like Red Alert 3), so they have alot of pressure of their shoulders to produce a high quality game.

This game though has been in development for an age.
Surly releasing this on pc alone will not get back the money they have invested into it from pc gaming alone?
And how long has it been in development for?

Why wouldn't it? Their games always have low minimum requirements so even the people with pretty old computers can play them.

SC2 in one of the most important games that I'm waiting for,
I really Hope they can make it even better then they make WC3+TFT
that for my opinion had the best RTS single player and multi player so far.

Dude, I really hope your fucking kidding.
Do you have any idea how many people will buy this game? Despite every single kid in korea having their SCBW. 1v1 stats in their CV when applying for a job, its just as popular pretty much everywhere. We are talking complete 1000000% sellout in opening week. If you don't preorder this game you will be lucky to get it on day 1..

yes the story of starcraft and starcraft: brood war will be continued in starcraft 2. there will also be a bunch of characters returning, so playing the starcraft campaign first will probably make starcraft 2 a little bit more interesting.
but I'm sure it'll be good enough on it's own as well.

it's the line of the ghost when you creating him.
http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/StarCraft_unit_quotations#Ghost
the line of the fire bat is "Need a light"?
