Wow, the final boss is such a display of lack of imagination... Teleportation, all characters moves, one color all over.. ? Fuck thats lame..

Compared to Soul Calibur, this one sucks. How the hell do you block? And why do you get hit by some impossible combos that take 50% of your life? IMO DoA4 is much better, not to mention Virtua Fighter.

come on thats a matter of taste, sure both are beat em ups but they are much different,
i like soulcalibur much more too, but i know many people which are totally impressed by the new streetfighter(like my younger brother). Loved the old streetfighter on snes and the new one has the same feeling like the old one on my opinion, so it can´t be that bad.
It´s just different...
Let´s wait together for the new Tekken^^ , my all time favourite and if you like soulcalibur it wouldn´t suprise me if you like tekken too.... i love it.
by the way to block just press back on analog or 4 way... have to admit control on 4 way sucks everytime i press back or forward the damn char jumps... works much better with analog...

ok regarding character unlocks the earlier post is wrong
Finish the game with all the characters and the ones you have unlocked once (fastest way 1 round on easiest)
Then after finishing it with everyone once start a new game without getting beaten get to seth and beat him, akuma will challenge you, so beat him, and he's unlocked
Then play through with akuma (iset this to 2 rounds to give my bar enough time to charge) u need at least one perfect victory and a few super finishes (demon rage thingy worked fine for me) no continues, beat seth and gouken will challenge you, beat him and you will unlock his character.
Then play as gouken i just beat it any old way and this will finally unlock seth

Thats not right, i used ryu after i unlocked everyone exept Akuma, Seth and Gouken to get Akuma. You need one perfect and no continues.

Sakura: Clear Arcade Mode with Ryu (that connection makes sense)
Cammy: Clear Arcade Mode with C. Viper (what?)
Dan: Clear Arcade Mode with Sakura (makes sense, since Dan always wanted to recruit her in his dojo)
Fei-Long: Clear Arcade Mode with Abel (a French soldier and a martial arts superstar? what's the connection?)
Gen: Clear Arcade Mode with Chun-Li (Yun and Yang were in Chun-Li's cutscene, and Gen's the grandfather of Yun and Yang)
Rose: Clear Arcade Mode with M.Bison, dictator (M. Bison and Rose were eternal rivals)
Akuma: After you unlock the 6 characters at the top, defeat him. To make him appear, have at least one perfect match and no continues.
Gouken: After finishing Arcade Mode with Akuma, defeat him when he appears. To do that, get at least a perfect, no continues, and two or more Ultra finishes.
Seth: Clear Arcade Mode with the other characters.

Hmmm, I tried unlocking Gouken twice but he doesn't challenge me. I've done everything as far as no continues, 2+ Ultra Finishes and at least one perfect. Doesn't work, anyone else having the same problem?

when i unlocked him (goku) i didnt need any ultra finishes, just regular super finishes worked for me

I'm surprised how difficult some moves are to pull off with the standard controller. I'm playing as Ryu on 'easy' and my rival, Sagat, has been raping me for almost an hour. Everytime my 'Ultra meter' is full and I try to do Ryu's Ultra Hadouken, Ryu ends up jumping vertically or does a regular Hadouken and Sagat finishes me off with his Ultra combo.

if you keep playing thru the game ive noticed it gradually levels up the AI depending on how you're playing so by your 3rd or fourth playthrough it should be a little harder depending on how you do.
This game does have a few balancing issues tho, some of the characters just pwn you on the harder levels dont even give you a chance, might even loose a point or two in my overall view of the game.

WTF?? I tried it with 4 perfects, 4 ultra and 4 super finishes, still nothing. Does it matter which character you use?

To get gouken you have to use akuma.

That is EXACTLY what I did, 5 times in a row, didn't use a single continue... I dunno man, something is fishy, maybe they don't want Canadians using Gouken

Nope, you cant unlock seth before gouken. You have to finish the game with everyone to get him.

how do you do these charge moves? For example what exactly left arrow right arrow and charge written on it mean? I tried holding left 2sn and right 2sn but it doesn't working.

Youre doing it right from what i can tell, but yeah charge moves are kind of a feeling thing. Im not good with them either... Chun li is the best character to learn charge moves with.
